Another great game at the Barnsley club this weekend, with a multi-player colonial game. The 'Men Who Would Be Kings' rules handled this much larger than usual game (100-odd plucky Brits and c. 500 Zulus) very well, with only minor tweaks.
The game ended historically although the defenders put up more of a fight than in real life, and almost drove off the attackers.
Sorry there's no blog to direct you to (another failed NY resolution) but there are more photos on the Barnsley Association of Wargamers FB page.

wonderful pics. Must have been a fascinating game. Wish you had posted more of them. Also what happened to Howard? [did you have any rules for his leaving the battlegield?]. I didnt find any more
pics on the site you mention...

Thanks Militiades, it was a great game. The photos can be found on the Facebook public page of the BAW -scroll back to January. The club website isn't used so much these days so it sits there as a placeholder.
Howard died a hero, holding the ford with a section of infantry while sergeant Booth made his escape. This was despite giving him the 'Bag of Nerves' trait which gave him a chance (3+ on 1D6) of deserting his men at the first real sign of danger.
We're now working on Rorke's Drift as a club game using MWWBK for our Christmas 2017 all-day event.

Impressive looking game. Good to hear TMWWBKs handles big games too.

Perhasps you should give a 2+ on a D6 to Howard for desertion -and a 3+ for execution afterwards n Homeland lol
I visited your page [BAW]on facebook: awsome pics from Intombe [and many more] Everyone should visit it! Great Inspiration

Thanks, Miltiades, it was a great game. Both RD and Khambula are on the 'to do' list though we've been rather distracted by Plains War games recently.
We Brits do things differently: Had Howard survived, it would have been public censure followed by a service revolver in the library rather than a formal execution.
