Surprised this hasn't been posted before:
http://nstarmagazine.com/FROSTGRAVE_FOLIO.htm (http://nstarmagazine.com/FROSTGRAVE_FOLIO.htm)
Whilst the extras are worth it, the new Sigilist figure looks tasty !
-
I already have most of the PDFs, but I'll probably still get this. The freebies are quite nice for a small book order.
-
Thanks for that yes I'm jumping on board that one. Love the pre release Barbarian wizards I can get early.
-
I might actually get in on this one.
Thanks for the heads up!
-
That is a great pointer - thanks!
The freebies aren't really my cup of tea, but it's worth supporting the effort.
After all, the more books they sell, the greater the odds of more in the future, right?
-
Thanks for reminding me!!!
-
It's already great value - the Barbarian sprue, now included for free with every book, is worth a fiver on its own. I suggest everyone buys multiple copies so we unlock the delightful new sigilist.
-
Yep, I'm in! Nice extras in this. I've gone in for the centipede demon, flailing wretch (or whatever the name is) Chipodendra (or whatever that is called) Beast crafters and the book.
-
Brigade Games now has the Nickstarter up on their site for US customers...
http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Frostgrave-Folio-Nickstarter_c_659.html (http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Frostgrave-Folio-Nickstarter_c_659.html)
-
I notice Brigade also lists:
Barbarian Wizard and Apprentice [+$8.50]
Alternative Cultist Captain [+$4.25]
Centipede Demon [+$8.50]
-
Here they are:

-
Oooo, that looks like an excellent Chilopendra mini!
-
Here is the Chilopendra
(http://nstarmagazine.com/FROSTGRAVE_FOLIO_htm_files/15094.jpg)
-
Seems to be going very well. The plastic barbarian sprue has been achieved plus alternate metal head and weapon for barbarian. Closing in on the new Sigilist wizard figurine now. After that looking forward to some new folio goals. By the time it gets to the end of February should be a great deal with all the extras
http://nstarmagazine.com/FROSTGRAVE_FOLIO.htm
-
I doubt they will do much, if anything, else. 10 pounds for a sprue of minis, some conversions bits and a metal mini seems like a fair deal to me let alone getting a book with it.
Looking good though as you say.
-
I can't remember. Was the failing wretch part of the barbarian nickstarter? Or was it a goal that wasn't reached? Or not at all?
-
So I take it the other Chilopendra is in fact Tiszirain, the very big scary one instead?
I can't remember. Was the failing wretch part of the barbarian nickstarter? Or was it a goal that wasn't reached? Or not at all?
You're right on the first two accounts: it was the final goal in the Forgotten Pacts Nickstarter, but the required total wasn't reached by just over a hundred quid then, sadly.
-
So I take it the other Chilopendra is in fact Tiszirain, the very big scary one instead?
I'd imagine so. 6 pounds for 1 mini as opposed to the standard 6 for 2. Must be a bigger guy seeing as it's in resin as well.
-
Going well now with the new Sigilist wizard achieved. Be real interesting to see what the next goals are going to be. Any guesses?
-
It is my understanding that this book does not include any of the scenarios that have been published in magazines, correct?
Will there, at one point, be another "Folio" of sorts that will have all of these publications collected?
-

They're talking about an apprentice for the new Sigilist.

Correct - the Folio contains the PDFs released over the last year-and-a-bit by Osprey, along with some new material.
Articles that appeared in magazines are unlikely to be collected by us, I'm afraid.
-
Aye, that's a bummer. Would've been cool.
I'm still getting the Folio though. I want to get back into the swing of things.
-
They're talking about an apprentice for the new Sigilist.
Indeed, the latest update shows the new Sigilist Apprentice, only another 350 books to go.
Already those who have pitched in will probably be doubling their money's worth.
-
Have to say I hadn't expected another model as a reward, given the price of the book - that's pretty neat!
-
This runs till the 1st right? I have to wait till payday on the 18th Feb before I can pledge
-

Yep ends on March 1st so lots of time for more to jump on board. Very impressed by getting another miniature and even better to complete the Sigilist wizard pairing. Exciting to thkn what might be next after we get to 750 books sold. Share it around folks and who knows what other goodies await.
-
I wasn't going to go in for this, having felt grumpy about already owning the content digitally, but those sigilist minis do look nice...
Bugger it... Ordered!
-
Anne do you have this Nickstarter? If so throw up a link and I'll probably get my order in asap :-)
-
Sorry if already answered.
If I order in the US via Brigade Models....does that sale go to the running count of the Nickstarter?
-

I would say definitely not. If you want the Nickstarter goals you would have to go through Northstar.

Just to clarify, you do get the freebie stretch goals when ordering from Brigade Games. It says so in red letters at the bottom of the write up on their website:
http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Frostgrave-Folio-Nickstarter_c_659.html (http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Frostgrave-Folio-Nickstarter_c_659.html)
It is less clear as to whether the books ordered there count towards the ordering total, but given the close link between the two companies I would say they probably do. But that is just a best guess.
-
Yep, the freebies are certainly thrown in, just wasn't sure about the running tally (to unlock even more freebies)
I'll just drop Brigade Games an email!
Thanks for the replies.
-
Talk about fast response!
I emailed Brigade Games and got this almost immediate response: My question was if a purchase there counts towards Northstars Tally.
Yes, and you get the freebees and entered into the weekly draws.

Well, that seals the deal. I'll be heading to the Brigade website after work.
-
Yep, that did it for me too!
I ordered last night.
My New Years Resolution was to NOT buy any new miniatures, and NOT back any more Kickstarters (at least until I can paint up some of my pile).
SO, using a very clever loophole my legal team found, I backed a Nick-starter, and only bought a book. I can't help it if it comes with free miniatures!
;D ;D
-
lol got to love those loopholes.
-
I see it is up top 588 now. It would be great to get to 750 to get the sigilist apprentice. Share it around people
-
Is there any info on what the "Ravages of Time" supplement is? Chronomancer stuff? It could be a good selling point to know what the extra is...
Andres
-
Probably a stupid question but, if I order 2 folios can I expect two sets of rewards?
-
The tally is up to 656 so closing in on that Sigilist apprentice
-

I gave it a bump on TMP seeing as we are soooo close, and I really want that apprentice.
I'm in danger of actually copying the colour scheme as well for the Sigilists - by a complete coincidence I painted two Citadel Clerics back in ~1991 with the same green cloak/white habit scheme that I used as Apthecaries, so it would be nice to round out a new warband...
-

I mailed Nick with that question and he said that each ordered book will come with all the goodies. So yes, 2 books = 2 sets of rewards 8)

Cool beans, thanks

Now 710. Very close to being an even better than a fantastic deal!
-
That will be 711 in a few minutes. ^^
-
North Star Military Figures: Book Total 750+ Copies Bought So Far
Yeah!
-
Excellent!!
-
Wow, some incredible extra value now!
-
That's brilliant I wonder if they will throw another goal in there though perfectly happy with what we have got so far
-

No, Nick has posted on TMP that that's that.
Which is fair enough given the short time til it closes, and the amazing value we are already getting.

More than fair enough they are being very very generous as is
-
Fantastic deal and I did order some extras which I wouldn't have done otherwise so I suppose it is working both ways :D
-
And now Northstar have started accepting PayPal I've finally managed to get my Nickstarter order in. :)
-
I jumped on this one since I have yet to acquire any of the plastic barbarians and I had been eyeing some Copplestone minis for This is Not a Test. Never ordered from overseas before. i wonder how long the shipping to the U.S. will take.

Based on previous orders from Northstar, typically about 7-14 days. Depends on where in the US you are (I'm on the west coast) and time of year (holidays take longer).
-
If only we had a distributor in Canada...
-
If only we had a distributor in Canada...
I doubt the shipping would be much less expensive than just ordering from the UK. It's only £5 which is about 8 dollars.
-
Or order from Brigade Games in the US.
-
Yeah you are probably right. I placed an order :)
-
If only we had a distributor in Canada...
It's not that bad... ;)
I've had good success from Northstar.
Gotta remember to join tomorrow lol
-
This looks like a really good deal even if you have the PDFs already. I've backed it.
-
I'm in too - nice deal
-
Is there a rough date for when shipping is to begin? Finally got enough people within the club interested enough to run a campaign (rather than just a series of games) but need to decide on what rules we will and won't be using.

The website says the expected delivery date is march, so I guess they will be sending the orders pretty much as soon as the preorders are over.
-
Amazon in the U.S. has the release date of the book set for 3/14. So I would also guess that they will be looking to send the orders out as soon as the Nickstarter ends in order to get them into people's hands around release.
-
Just to say mine turned up this morning! (UK)
Off to do some reading!
-
That was fast! Here's hoping that Brigade Games gets theirs out to the US customers in as timely a fashion!
-
Let's hope!
-
Yep fast indeed! Mine arrived today too :D
-
Do they normally send a shipping notification?
-
Got mine Today too ;).
-
and i got mine :D
-
Post office has mine since it was too big for the letterbox. Off at four to pick it up. (UK)
Snitchy sends.
-
Mine has just arrived, all present and correct.
My first Frostgrave figures - I've managed to use all my old stuff.
First view is the new campaign looks intriguing, maybe best for higher level wizards.
tghe actual figures themselves, well they scale well with the old Citadel C02 Wizards I am using.
Now to base and paint them.
:)
-
Mine arried today - plan to have a good read during my nightshift tonight.
-
Got mine too first thing yesterday (Friday) morning. Have yet to get round to reading it as we had a marathon "Last Kingdom" session all-day yesterday.
-
Does Northstar send shipping notifications? I had never ordered from them before, but I don't see a way on their website to check the status of an order.

I didn't get one for this order, or other orders I have placed.
Never had a problem with them, and nor have my parents when ordering for Xmas/b'day...
When selling stuff on e-bay my stuff shipped via Royal Mail usually arrives in the rebel colonies within 2 weeks, so unless you hear horror stories otherwise I'd give it some time.
-
I don't think anyone in the US has received theirs yet, have they? I ordered from Brigade Games, and haven't got mine yet. I hoping it gets here this week. :)
-
whats the normal turn around for the nickstarter - havent seen anything here in denmark yet
-
I got mine today in the U.S.! I was so surprised. It was my first experience with them, official Frostgrave metals, and Copplestone minis (bought some Scavenger Heroes). I was pleased with all items. I will probably order some more minis from them soon.
-
Ordered mine from Northstar and arrived (in Canada) today!
Pretty pleased considering the Nickstarter ended ONLY 7 DAYS AGO! :o
I'm excited to build those vikings...
-

Nothing in Belgium as of yet - in my experience shipping from UK to EU is rather slow, they're probably training for the Brexit. It might take up to two weeks.
-
Still haven't received mine, and I'm in the UK.... :(
Kevin
-
Received mine yesterday in the Netherlands. Huuuuuuge amount of packing foam, so everything arrived nice and neat!
-

Don't worry. Not got mine yet either - gave 'em a call this morning and confirmed all sent out. Just need to play the waiting game before we get our toys...

When I got home from work this evening there was a card from the postman saying that he'd tried to deliver a package but it was too big to go through the letterbox, so I shall collect it from the post office on the way home tomorrow.
-

I also went through Brigade. Haven't gotten it yet.
-
Mine arrived today. Haven't really had a chance to do more than look at it and go "oooo". But I like going "oooo" so that's ok.

Did you go through Brigade Games or order straight from Northstar?
-
Good news: Mine arrived today. At work...
Bad news: I'm not at work till Saturday...
-

Mine was straight from Northstar. I placed the order on 2/24 so I wasn't even close to when they first opened up the Nickstarter.
-

That's what I tend to do, then I pop them into the miniatures cupboard and look for what I want to buy next to not paint.
-

Excellent, I ordered from Northstar, too. I guess I should be keeping an eye out for my pack.
-
Got mine today in Boston, figures are nice too
-
So has anyone who ordered from Brigade Games received theirs yet? I'm still waiting...

Still waiting too. Hopefully this week 😀

On the Facebook thread of the same subject, the Brigade guys said they just got their stock in and were packing up orders. Hopefully they'll be shipping soon.

Thanks for the information! Hopefully they'll get them shipped soon, as they'll be leaving for Cold Wars in a day or two. The big storm hitting the north east won't help things either. :(
-
Got mine today, Vancouver BC. Ordered from UK. I like the plastics a lot but.
-
Mine came in today. A nice little box of new stuff!

I just received an email with a shipping confirmation for my Folio Order from Brigade Games.

Sweet! Hopefully mine will be on the way too!

My brigade games order arrived today. Great haul for a "mini" nickstarter.
-
Got mine today too. Fantastic package!
I'm really impressed with the quality of the plastic Barbarians.
-
Happy as mine showed up in New Zealand yesterday. Excited about trying the solo game rules. Great figures. Cheers

Has anyone painted their new Sigilist Wizard and apprentice up yet?

Working on them! Very nice sculpts. Might finish them over the weekend.
-
Got mine too last week. The barbarian sprue is good out of the box, but I could see a Zombie conversion down the road and also making an Ygritte with some Statuesque heads. A very versatile set.
The two battle nuns look also very good. No cheesecake and cool poses.
-
I haven't even gotten mine yet.
William
....and my stuff was waiting for me when I got home from work this evening. I'm a happy camper.

Got mine yesterday in Chile!
