Good Day to you all
Since I first discovered IHMN, I have had a fascination for the many and varied companies. Some of you may have seen the fastplay companies I have taken to various shows such as Salute, Triples and Partizan. In truth I have been collecting so many figures and converting from a ready stockpile I believe I can produce 90% of the companies from both the books and those produced for both the blog and this forum... For example I am currently repainting a number of figures to represent the separate factions of the Hospitallers, Teutonic knights and Templars.
For years I have looked for a means of storage and display and after converting an old rubbish filled cellar to a usable and airy store room my builder suggested the use of glass fronted kitchen units...and voila I have the first six up with plans for at least six more...
The Figures are placed on cheaply acquired photo frames with a felt 'mat' to prevent scratches, though I intend to have bespoke trays with indents for the bases and earth magnets. So far I have organised 22 companies this way...
Each figure now has a bespoke card. Certain figures such as the Tod-Truppen and Black Jack Hines are double-sided.
I will be taking the first 'COGS' roadshow to Hammerhead in March.

A few more individual company stands...
-
That's impressive, both in terms of storage solution and company availability - I take my hat off to you.
Will look out for the Roadshow at Hammerhead.

Wow, all I can say is Wow!
-
Looking good, in fact excellent.

Great selection of figures and beating the issue of storage earns you a 'very well done'!
Regarding the photo frames I buy second hand 'hard' place mats, you can get sets for next to nothing in op shops turned upside down showing the cork they make nice 'trays'. If you want you can drill stand holes through one and glue two together for recessed trays :)

That's very impressive, in terms of size and storage. And of course paintedness.

Thanks for the comments
Actually the photo frame idea came from a friend who is a 'fanatic' Frostgrave gamer.
He is also at Hammerhead with Frostgrave using his own bespoke terrain (has to be seen to be believed!)
He uses photo frames to display the various Frostgrave factions and puts inserts into the frames (in the place of photos). Something I intend to get around to.
I am just wondering how many of these units I will eventually need... Might have to excavate under the garden.

Your collection far outstrips our own :D
Such magnificence!

Wow. They're fantastic. A brilliant project.

My project advances!

The last for this week
NB: The Marines have their iconic Dynamite Gun which I have treated as a 'longer' ranged Congreve Rocket Gun. They also have a mounted Gatling Gun (which is currently missing, I suspect the hand of the Okhrana!)

Great collection and storage solution.*thumbs up*

Tehet, it's a lovely collection, CONGRATULATIONS and thank you very much for sharing!
I am pretty sure we'll see those cabinets completely full of amazing miniatures in no time! ;)

I met up with Sir Tehet and his henchmen, the dapper Bonner and Terry, at Hammerhead yesterday. They were once more putting on a marvellous IHMN participation game for all to enjoy and wonder at.
His figure collection was on display and is a magnificent 'in the flesh' as it is in the photographs :D

My newest companies....

I like your new companies especially the Ronin. I have a few of Bac Ninh miniatures painted with the same idea.

I think that I need to write faster... ;)
