Part of a commission of various sci-fi pieces, the three models from the AT-43 Operation Frostbite set. All started off as rather crappy pre-paints before getting hit with the black spray of death and a bit of daubing. I've got all the UK editions of Rackham's Cry Havoc magazine so the pre-paints were a massive let down when I finally saw them after seeing the studio paint jobs shown in there.

I've repainted a bunch of AT-43 models for the same guy in the past so if anyone didn't see them way back when they're in my gallery (http://www.stonecoldlead.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=11468902).

As great as always! I had these minis too, you got the most out of them!

That orange is exquisite - Any chance of a wee recipe?

I actually took pics as I painted it but I've not written anything up yet so I'll hold off on posting any step by step.
Colours used though were VGC Parasite Brown base coat highlighted with GW Jokaero Orange and then highlights of VGC Bonewhite. Nice and simple. :)

Gorgeous paintjobs :o

Great work as usual. I've found the vehicles from the various AT-43-esque games to be great...but the infantry figures not so much. Shame as they're all quite good minis!

Stunning paintjobs (and such bright colours over black?!). :-*

Beauty, thanks! One got a whole pile of orange to do soon, don't think I own parasite brown, I'll give it a look.

Stunning as ever, and bringing out that much detail on a pre-paint, with overspraying on top, with black...well that's pretty fine brushmanship.

Lovely bright colours and smooth blends. Proper job :)
