Title: Ladies of the Knight!!!
Post by: Harry Faversham on February 19, 2017, 11:03:28 AM
Now that I've got some Knights it's time to go a questing and adventuring. I've got a bunch of trolls, some orcs, a couple of dragons and wotnot for mi' lads to slay. What I don't have are any fair maidens to get rescued from the Black Knight's castle.
Does anyone make a Lady with one of them cone thingys on her melon?

The old Exin castle blocks sets had a lady with that headgear - and as far as I remember, the few minis actually were about 28mm sized.

The descriptiuon here says 40mm, so I am not sure (I have 2 of the old sets, but I don't have the time to actually empty them and  find the figures right now)

One of the Damsels and the Fey enchantress from GWs old Bretonnian line had  fancy headgear I think? Might be worth an eBay search?

One of the Ral Partha ladies has exactly this outfit. Can't recall specifically which set. If you don't mind the smaller 25mm princess a couple others in the range are suitable as well.

I have this Ral Partha figure, just the right size (a bit smaller than Perry's plastic figures, so good for a woman). http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/ral-partha-fantasy-c-37/heroes-and-horrors-c-37_38/01018-ladies-3-hero-1-p-1214.html

Right, I've got Herself sorted. Next up is a kneeling Knight at prayer, I once saw one in somebody's fantasy range but can't recall where? I did find a Crusader type chappie in chain-mail... but i want a bloke in proper Sir Lancelot armour!

Iirc Grenadier had one in one of the fantasy warrior sets. Now with Mirliton but I can't  see it in any of their packs now. Iirc there was also one in the Ral Partha knights of the round table box set, or something similar. I have both, lovely figs without the foam power armour so common now.

I ordered this figure and he's just turned up from Uncle Sam. Has anyone had any experience of painting this figure? I'm wondering whether to paint the body and arms separate or glue him together, then get stuck in... any advice would be greatly appreciated.
