General Pettygree's blog presents, Diary of a Subaltern in the Sudan here:

The unnamed subaltern and his friend, Freddy Grandmaison, are scouting the new rail line between Wadi Halfa and Kosheh in northern Sudan. They have stopped at ancient ruins at a bend on the Nile's east bank. You will see ruins, a verdant oasis, 54mm Britains and John Jenkins Design miniatures, part of the rail line and....
The story unfolds with briefly captioned photos and a little narration. I hope you will enjoy the miniatures, scenery and find the story engaging.
