I thought some of you might be interested to know that some of the old Citadel Barbarian Raiders are showing as available on the Foundry website. I've posted this here because these figures make good Dark Age beserkers and rank and file. They're not that easy to find on the Foundry website. You need to go onto the Ex- Citadel page and then click on Mercenaries. If you scroll down they're lower down the page. I found them by chance.
I never knew that Foundry had the moulds. Foundry released the ex-Citadel Vikings as their own range in the late 80s but did not, to my knowledge, ever release the Barbarian Raiders, which are similar in style and sculpted around the same time. About 10 years ago I spent ages (and quite a lot of cash) tracking down some of the figures on Ebay and then stripping them. It seems that I needn't have bothered!

Oh now that is good to know, thank you. :)

I did not realize that. I've been lately using Warlord Games gauls/barbarians for my Beserkers with the GB Plastics, but do not have any berserkers that look very good with my Foundry stuff.

I now have in my hands a barbarian figure (which I'll use as a Viking beserker) which I first saw in an article in Practical Wargamer in 1989. I'd tried to buy it on Ebay but this figure never came up so I just gave up on it. I've also got 2 more barbarians which I've never seen before and which I can also use as beserkers.

Great shout.
