Title: Warlord's Spec Ops Sprue Question
Post by: audrey on 02 March 2017, 03:44:07 PM
I am assembling some Warlord Spec Ops figures and have been able to identify all the weapons (with the help of the internet). But I cannot figure out a few pieces of gear. Attached is a photo of the sprue with the mystery items circled in red. One just looks to be a box or ammo box? I haven't a clue what the other 2 items are. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
-Audrey

Have you got a better pic please. One looks like a LAW from other pics i've seen.

The other two look like some sort of Breaching tools in there carry cases.

I don't think they are breaching tools as they taper on one end. But maybe. I'll try and take a better photo of just those specific pieces. It would have been nice for Warlord to provide some identifier. The online assembly guide is bad enough being low resolution.

All three are labeled"J", I cannot find any additional J items.

There is a "base" with cables that run to the more pointed end.

Are they some kind of uplink? If there were any torsos with radio back packs I would of thought they were an add on.

Or an SCBA rig in a bag.

The whole Project Z paperwork is an epic fail, letting down the high quality models backed with prompt customer care.

It might be an add on to the LAW, there are a couple of suitable sized flat surfaces that might take the "base".

Let's see if this is better.

There is no additional detail on the reverse.

Yep, the two are typical IEDs. That other thing would be a BIG block of C4, larger than the m112 charges.

That was my guess. I suspect that The Hurt Locker has had a bigger impact than many suspected. :)
