Hello!
After a few cocks ups last year (gotta love self employment!) these got delayed quite a bit, but they will be coming out...this Salute.
The first wave of Women in WW2 last Salute was very successful, and I promised to release more.
Alas, here we go.
It is a relatively small release and will be for Salute (and the webstore at the same time), as my "big thing" is increasing the shieldmaiden line. However, once Salute is out of the way we will be cracking on with a lot more, including more badass ladies from other nations. If you're about to say "will you be doing..?" the answer is 99%....yes! As with everything, it has to be in batches, as everything costs money, so each wave funds the next wave etc.
Anyway enough ramble, here are some scouts
Sculpted by Alan Marsh.

I have a couple more Soviet packs to astonish you with next week.... :D
Cheers!

Really like these. Excellent figures.

I have to admire what you have done to change the nature of women in gaming, both real and miniature. 8)

great stuff.
-
Wonderful, I already have all of your female snipers, so I can see myself oredering some of these. Any chance of some female partisans?
-
Excellent.
-
Great stuff, as it happens I have one of the female Sniper packs being painted now and they are fun and rather clean sculpts to paint :)

Thankyou so much all! It's the pre Salute stress and general "arghh" at the moment, so any pats on the head of reassurance even digital ones are especially appreciated.

Any chance of a soviet nurse/medic?

If from other nations will this include "La Miss" Susan Travers? the only woman to ever join the FFL.

+1 about Susan Travers ...

I am happy to see these. I just ordered some Soviet snipers for my BA army. Later that day I thought "I should have gotten two snipers so I had one for my winter themed army."
But now you have released a new sniper! I can not wait until they are available for ordering. I have signed up for your newsletter so I hear when they are ready.

I can secand that. And since she served in just about every climent in ww2 you could almost do a whole like based off of Ms. Tracers alone!
Even an Indo-china version.

Oh and a Geneviève de Galard would be cool.

For another idea of Soviet women troops, watch the "the dawn's here are quite".
About an all female anti-air battery in a small village. If nothing else the series is a good time killer.
Oh and warnings, I you don't like nudity might want skip it.

Not a soviet, but one lady I would like to see is the Norwegian Ann Margethe Bang the angel of Hegra Fortress in 1940

The series is actually a remake of a film from 1972 - much better from what I've heard.

Aww, good to know.

"Forever entered in the history of the defense of Stalingrad feat of girls anti-aircraft gunners of the 1077th antiaircraft artillery regiment, which shielded from the air raids the factory part of Stalingrad. In the regiment served 75 girls, armed with 37-mm antiaircraft guns 61-K and 85-mm antiaircraft guns 52-K. In all, there were 37 artillery pieces in the regiment. The girls, together with the armed workers of the Stalingrad Tractor Plant, blocked the way German tanks that had broken through from the 16th Panzer Division of Lieutenant-General Hube. From August 23 to August 24, 1942, in the area of operation of the 1077th anti-aircraft regiment, 83 tanks were destroyed and damaged, 15 trucks were destroyed and the infantry infantry battalion was destroyed. But at the same time, all anti-aircraft guns were lost, and most of the girls-gunners were killed".

What about squads of all female infantry, Cuprum? Any record of that?

With the exception of aviation units (night bombers), there were no other large women's units in the 1st line troops. The largest of women units on the front line are - sniper company. But they almost never acted in full staff, snipers in small groups were seconded to different section of the front. In the Soviet Army was formed the 1st volunteer women's rifle brigade of the NKVD, but it was not intended for use at the front, it was used to guard the rear of the fighting army. However, during the war there were many cases, when the women's units of the rear (sanitary, bath-laundry, sapper, anti-aircraft and the like), appeared on the direction of the impact of the enemy (which had break through the front or go out of the encirclement of the enemy) and they were forced to fight.
In this film, a similar episode is shown. 1945. Germany. In a small German town, in the deep rear of the Soviet army, a group of German troops, emerging from encirclement, plans to seize the Soviet fuel depot. For the defense of the city, the Russian colonel (the head of the occupation administration of the city) had faulty immobilized tank, damaged "Katyusha", unable to conduct aimed fire, captured German gun, thrown by the Germans during the retreat. As soldiers - drivers, cooks, repairmen, women laundry battalion. The task is to hold out until the reinforcement approach (a good plot for the game). Germans can only carry machinery on the road, as the land is soaked and the terrain does not allow it to be done elsewhere.
