a friend of mine is desperate to get me into Dropfleet Commander and for my B'day in may wants to get me the rules and some ships.
I found out they are about 1:9000-10000.
does any company do anything in that scale? or close to it?
thinking F-14 fighters and going all Macross/Robotech to annoy him.

1/15000 is going to be a bit tiny...

1.27 mm to exact. Teeny tiny.

Dropfleet Commander minis are canonically 1:9150 scale, not 1:15000. Says so on the packaging.

I just went what they put online at a show with a HUGE cruiser thing

1:9150 is STILL teeny tiny.
Most spaceship game lines tend to fly fighters in a larger scale, assuming they represent smaller ones.
One suggestion from GZG, used by others, is to put one fighter on a stand, and use a die to represent the six in a squadron.
I'm fairly certain the fighters in Star Wars Armada are still way large to the ISD's and the like.

Probably the Dropzone Commander-scale Strike Carrier model they built to show off the scale differences between their ground and space games. The ship's actually one of the smallest classes in Dropfleet Commander at the moment, although the corvettes and other "atmosphere hunter" classes will be even smaller when released. Still huge compared to the SzC ground minis, of course.
This game doesn't have quite as over-the-top huge ships as Battlefleet Gothic did, but we're still talking more than a scale kilometer in length for some vessels.

Star Wars ships are available in 1/10000 scale...... ;)

Title changed.
And he is a HUGE star wars fan and knows I prefer the obviously superior star trek. So using those would give him a hernia... Excellent
