I am looking for 1:72 figures for a post-ice age fantasy game, set roughly between the stone and bronze age. Does anyone have suggestions on stone age figures? So far I am using a mix of Caesar miniatures Hebrew Warriors and Ancient Germans. I would like to get some more primitive looking figures. Is there any company that makes cavemen or neanderthals in 1:72 scale?

There are several American Indian sets that feature figures armed with bows, spears and clubs, or even unarmed. If by 'primitive' you mean 'sub-human', well, no, they're people with stone age tech and some trade goods. Leave out the figures with hatchets and firearms (trade those off to your pal who's doing an American frontier project) or convert them to carry shirt-pin spears, and you're good.
A couple of sets I can think of include the Imex Eastern Friendly Indians set, which includes women and children and non-belligerent men:

The Imex Sioux Indians set has some useful dismounted warriors:

I believe both of these sets are currently in production and available.

Take a look at Phersu miniatures, They are excellent.

The Imex Eastern Friendly Indians set looks great! I'll keep an eye peeled for those Phersu Cavemen. There is a hobby shop a few towns away with an extensive historical miniatures section. Thank you for your recommendations!
