I hosted the Perry twins and David Brown (author of GdB) for a play test of some rules I've been working on, 'Field Force Commander'.
Mike Perry has put some nice pictures and an AAR up …

The rules (like British Grenadier!) offer smaller or larger troop scales -about 1:10 versus 1:25. We fought this one at the 1:10 scale because the commands in this battle were groups a few companies strong versus some Afghan militia and regular forces, including the famed Armstrong 12 pounders fresh from the battle of Maiwand.
There's no release date on 'Field Force Commander' at the moment – but the rules are basically complete, it's just a matter of honing them with a few more play tests,

Great looking figures.
Love the look of the battlefield.

Wow, looks and sounds like an excellent game, and a promising new rules set!!!

This looks excellent. I'd like to give these a go. What time period did you have in mind while writing them?

Thank you kindly gents - Marine0846 the battlefield benefited from some recent trips to the area ;)
Mad Guru - as you know, you've been an inspiration for my 2nd AW project. You may not see them that clearly but the dark coated Afghan regulars in the compound are Michael Perry's first painted up unit of them.
Keith, it's really meant to cover 'small wars' and not just Colonial campaigns from the end of the Napoleonic period to the 2nd Boer War,
