Dolmot, I really like your skull interpretation on the round mask. Great idea, my version of that figure sucks :)

Thanks. I'm only half-satisfied myself with the masks. They're such a distinctive, highly visible and unusual feature - a great chance to go crazy with imagination and freehanding. Unfortunately, they were also one of the last things I painted after finishing the bare essentials of the first three teams just before the deadline, hence they didn't receive the planning nor execution they'd deserve. The skull motif itself was an OK idea, considering the lack of time and creativity, but I couldn't quite decide between crude/primitive/symbolic and semi-realistic styles so it ended up somewhere inbetween. Well, good enough if people recognise it. :P

My personal favourite is the green one, of course.

One weird thing is that only after cleaning half of the minis of this blister I realised that I had got two casts of the snake guy but none of the bloke with a clay pot. Apparently he has jumped to another entry (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=99370.0). :o Maybe I'll paint another version of the snake guy some day, this time with a semi-realistic interpretation of Gaboon viper instead of a crude one. That was just too much to fit into my hectic schedule. ::)
