Both good looking. Where did the creature come from Dr. Mathias?

Excellent scene VonKluge, nice detailing in the central chief's hat. Where is the cookpot from?

The monster is from Pure Evil Miniatures:

It's an even more creepy version of some Hasslefree 'Maws' I painted a couple years ago.

I love those shield designs on the ladies in the lower picture. Both good entries.

I saw the first one and said, "Uh-oh, Dr. Matthias may be in trouble..." -- excellent scene and details.
Matt, as usual, gorgeous brushwork! You are truly an inspiration...

Thanks Dr M, yours are very nice and I like the skin tone you achieved! The "cookpot" and the "idol" in the background are pieces I made years ago when I had been doing a lot of "Darkest Africa" They are made of "sculpy" The figure in the pot is a cut off Foundry Belgian officer and I added a cup in place of a sword he had figuring the natives had given him a stiff drink to relax and tenderize him! lol
The "LPL" is always tough for me since I normally paint Units for gaming in current periods and also work in other scales much less popular here, but fun and instructive none the less!

Wow, excellent work. I too made an idol out of Sculpy, and I recognized the poor Belgian :)

Both entries' natives are Foundry Darkest Africa:
