Starting slowly to prepare for my Gundamak 1842 setup, I read that there were some BNI sepoys also present in the final stand. Iron Duke miniatures have some suitable sepoys(code IMREB18) but no officers. Would anyone know how the BNI officers were uniformed so that I can search for some proxy? Grateful for any comments!

Wouldn't the officers in poshteens Studio already produce for this range be suitable,I believe the BNI officers dress mirrored those of the Queen's regiments, there is also a European officer in dress coatee in the second pack along with two other officer types, one of which is in shell jacket and forage cap that looks like a figure from the recent Osprey title on the First Afghan War of a BNI officer leading the defence of the commissariat building in Kabul.
Cheers

I pretty much agree with the above.
BNI officers would wear either a long blue frock coat, shell jacket or coatee like their troops (less likely) forage cap most likely but shako also possible. Poshteen very likely if you are doing the actual last stand and/or great coat.
As officers had a lot of latitude in terms of what they wore I don't think you can go far wrong.

Many thanks for your advice!
This is the list I found in this website. Ideally I should also have some artillery and cavalry officers. I wonder also if there might have been any armed civilians among the campfollowers?
