Title: Pre-1930s double-ended motor boats that were not lifeboats?

A few years ago, I had bought one of these Glencoe 1/48 scale Coast Guard lifeboat (36' Type T) kits:

Although the original design was used in the US from the 1930s onward, it is not something that one would be likely to have seen elsewhere, nor for anything but coast guard rescues. Thus, I would like to convert it, retaining little more than the (waterlined) hull, and discarding the upper works.

However, were double-ended (as opposed to flat transomed), smooth-hulled motor boats all that common?

Could anybody suggest some pre-1930s European boat designs to which it might be converted? Thanks!

Looks like it could be converted into some sort of fishing boat, seem to remember* the small, beach launched sort were double-ended.

Most small craft at any point along the coast pre-war are likely to be involved in fishing, otherwise struggling to think of anything smaller than a tramp/coastal steamer or tender that would be anything but a one off pleasure craft.

There are similar lifeboats and in shore fishing boats and pilot launches being up and down the east coast of the British isles through out the 1920's right up to the early 1970's.
The simplest solution for a good generic launch that covers multiple uses would be to make two removable sections to fill in the open deck area forward of the wheel house.
The first being a simple box with its leading edges curved to match the small cabin forward of the wheel house so you have a block that extends the cabin to fill up the gap upto the bow.
The second an open topped box(or closed) with a mast and boom/ winch. To fill the forward area. So it becomes an in shore  fishing boat.
Or slightly trickier make the wheel house and cabin also a separate piece as well  so you've the option of no superstructure at all

Then it becomes a Swiss army knife of boats for gaming.
It's how I personally do boats as it saves on storage having one hull and a changeable superstructure.
