I did conversion sets for the M50 (Late) and the M51 for the Hasegawa Sherman
This was over 20 years ago.... the details weren't that great,
and the hull hatches were closed.
Back in (or near) 05' Dragon came out with their EZ 8 Sherman
So I redid my masters to make the Conversions based off their kits.
Well from time to time....
people have asked he where they can find the Older conversions.
I told them sadly that they no longer exist.
I then asked: "why would you want one for the Hasegawa Sherman,
when the Dragon kits are better?"
I was told that Dragon keeps screwing up and stopping production of the Shermans,
and even though my current conversions will work with Trumpeter kits....
Hasegawa as never stopped producing..... for more than 40 years.
Soooooo.... to keep everyone happy....
I now offer two sets of Conversions for the M51and the M50 (late)
Both Dragon and Hasegawa
This is my original offering from the mid 90's

I then crafted the "stowage basket" .....
(Back them I did not have the patience to make the basket)

doing the Hasegawa conversions requires these modifications for the donor parts.
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Israeli%20Armor/Hasegawa%20M51/original%20parts_zps6zzw1bjn.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Israeli%20Armor/Hasegawa%20M51/original%20parts_zps6zzw1bjn.jpg.html)
I have also learned that even though I have included resin tracks
one can still use the donor kits tracks

Very well done.
I can see it on the move to battle.
Love it.
-
Excellent.
-
Thanks guys... glad you like it.....
seems at least three people on ebay liked it enough to buy one ....
Glad to see that my hard work has paid off
-
Beautiful work as always (I personally will always take the resin tracks to the vinyl, since there's no fight to get them to sit right). May you long continue to turn out these gorgeous models!

this actually my second one.... I redid the M50 first and then the M51
but decided to post the M51 first :)

I have since made a few changes to the turret .....
I have been told by several people that the spare tracks on the turret
should be a set of three, not four...
there are some small details on the gun mantlet
that for some reason I have always "overlooked"
and I finally did the "dust cover" where the gun joins the turret
first off here is the turret before I did anything

It looks good but I do not know enough about the real thing to comment on the accuracy. I will be using your stowage layout as a reference for my (fictional) post war Sherman based on the Rubicon 1/56 scale M4A3E8 kit.

It's the ultimate Sherman. Love that big gun. Have always been fond of this tank.
