The new SW A game pulled me back to GW! My small 6 member Kill Team will have a Leader, 2 Ranger, 2 Fresh Forged and a Specialist. I start with the specialist. Right out of the Skitarrii box, no conversion. Even the paint job is more or less canon, I only went for a muted brown red.

Next was a Ruststalker. I really like the mini and it was gathering dust in the “to paint” queue. Not sure if I will use the mini in my kill team, but it looks cool anyway!

I even painted some terrain already. Old AT-43 container (you can even see the UNA logo a little bit) with new transfers.

Gorgeous paintwork as always. Tremendous.
-
These are nice minis, and your painting really makes them shine.
-
Thanks Folks, I am really looking Forward playing with them! :)
-
Indeed, lovely paintjobs on those (though for me I think it'll probably be the new Adeptus Titanicus that returns me to GW bondage).
-
Paintwork is top-notch. :)
-
Great paintwork Agis! :-* The Ruststalker would make a good General Grievous figure!
-
Lovely painting.
-
Great Painting
Those are a joy to behold

-
Thanks again folks! More next weekend...
;)
General Grievous is a great idea, I will try it sometime
-
Very nice!
-
Lovely, never really looked at the Skitari.
They never got my attention since they really got added during the time I longer cared for GW.
But seeing these, they are really cool.
Your painting is top notch as always, ofcourse.
-
Nice painting, but why only six? I think you need ten to twelve figures.

Not to start you dont. 1,000 points only goes so far.
-
Very nice pjs on those, Agis. Of all the 40K factions, I like the aesthetic of the Mechanicus troops most of all. It's VSF, but in a grim darkness kinda way.
-
I was unsure what to do for a second force for SW, but this seals it. Gonna do these guys!
Wow. Great work, Agis!
-
Thanks again folks and yes - starting a Killteam can be done with only 5 or 6 members.
Only later you need more.

I continued to work on my Skitarii Kill Team for SW A.
This time a small conversion to create a Fresh forged member of the team.
The Skitarii Fresh-forged! “Fresh-forged are the most recent additions to a Skitarii Ranger team, their remaining flesh still raw from the surgery involved in bionic modification.” (From the Skitarii list)
I used a more modest colour palette as on the Specialist, no cog motive on the coat and hood etc. to reflect his more “fresh” nature.
Since there are no Fresh-forged minis around I went for a conversion, I used legs (Short Greatcoat Legs - Static) and torso (Gothic Void Hazardous Environment Torsos) from the incredible good Anvil Industries Regiments range! Arms, head and weapon are from the GW Ad Mech box. I only shortened the Radium carbine a bit since the official carbine looks IMO like a long rifle.
And thats how they look together:

Very nice conversion.
Anvil figures are pretty good.
-
Great job on the fresh forged conversion. Fits right in and looks suitably adeptus mechanicus.
-
Fantastic work on these
-
Fantastic! I like the carbine: definitely changes the look of the figure.
-
Wow, they're looking really good. Funnily enough, I've just pilfered a load of Skitarii heads and arms/weapons from a mate's bits box thinking they could come in useful for something. By shamelessly copying your idea for the Anvil torsos and legs I can turn those bits into half a dozen figures.
-
Shiny! Those Electricity effects on the guns are pretty cool!
-
Big thanks Folks, more soon!
-
That Fresh-Forged is more how I always imagined the Titan Guard regiments. More organised and disciplined looking than the classic description of the techno-barbarian Skitarii.
Like it a lot, I may steal that conversion to make some household retainers for my Knight Household :)
-
Another Fresh-forged mini and a Ranger.
The Fresh-forged mini is done as above, the Ranger is right out of the box equipped with a Radium carbine and Enhanced data-tether.

And a group shot of the team so far:

Superbly painted!
I envy your skill...
-
They look very good.
-
Great looking team ,also love your bases :-*

Nice figures agis, can I ask do you assemble the whole skitari model then paint? Or glue the arms on after? Just a thought as I've got some and. They are a pain in the arse to paint!
-
Thanks!

I paint them fully based and assembled.
Always keep in mind, what you can't reach with a brush you will most likely also not see...
;)
-
Thanks agis, I had lost my way with these, but back on the path now!

Some terrain for the Forge! It is an old Warmachine terrain piece repainted.
You may remember this:

Nice addition for a board. Will you build a board for SW???
-
Lovely paint work on these. I'd completely lost interest in 40k and had done for a good 15 years plus, but I do like the look of some of the newer stuff. The retro 40k threads aren't helping either.

Thanks folks!

Already done! ;)

Well I was absent from 40K gamewise for more or less 10 years, 8th edition brought me back...
-
I should clarify that the retro threads aren't helping me resist a new/renewed project as I'm really enjoying them, particularly the Eldar threads.

You are welcome! :)

The new 2018 Kill Team rules are much to my liking. Consequently I made up a 100 pts lists and finished my Skitarii.
The Skitarii of the Team. Mid range fire support!
The Sicaran Ruststalker and the lone Infiltrator section. Deadly in CC and fast.

Wow!
Stunning work indeed :-*

They are striking indeed. Bravo!

Thanks folks! 8) 8)

Awesome work, the sigils (I assume decals) look beautifully integrated.

Yup, all decals, only the cog pattern on the robes are freehand.
