I'm guessing those nuns and guards are conversions? they're very nice, as is the work done on the dude on the right, very nicely done. Who makes the blue haired girl?
-
Whoooa Explorers are great but Throne Agents are outstanding job :-*
You have quite similar theme to mine but I am happy not to be paired with them :)
Mr Tough Guy - The gal is Privateer Press from RPG line - few gems are hidden in it
-
This is tough one to call! Both just show excellent examples of applying tones to a model! :-*
Christopher
-
Both excellent - Dr. Matthias, those troopers conveyed from Empire archers and cadian arms (?) are really great!
-
Both beautiful entries, lovely!
The Explorers are stunning paintjobs, never saw those miniatures better painted! :-*

Couldn't agree more.
You must have painted some of these timeless Copplestone DA figures for Foundry a dozen times Chris, but I think this group is one of your best ever.
Equally though, the selection of figures and ingenious modelling that has gone into Matt's entry, quite apart from the painting itself, makes for a wonderful team.
Superb work, both of you. This one deserves to be a tight match.

Both have tons of character injected into them by your skill with the brush...! Bugsda, wonderful shading, and a realistically subdued palette. Matt, as always, your entries are colorful, intricate masterpieces. I think the guy on the right steals the show from the nuns, though!

@ Mr. Tough Guy
The blue-haired girl is from Privateer Press, part of their Iron Kingdoms rpg line- Valeria Olvaro, Ordic Pistoleer PP81010
I have one sitting right next to me; I ordered it after seeing it in last week's postings.
The LPL should get some sponsorship from the manufacturers, it obviously leads to increased sales.

Also a Battle of Masters!

Awesome job Bugsda. I think I've painted all those guys myself at one point, yours are outstanding.

Yes, conversions. I'm using them as Order Famulous novices.

The 'Adeptus Painticus" guy is a fan sculpt from the Collecting Citadel Miniatures group.

As others pointed out the guard are Empire bodies, Cadian Arms, Bretonnian helmets, and I think the leader has a Cadian face.

I've always loved the Ordic Pistolier. I think she's the only Warmachine mini I have.
Mr. Servo Skull is also converted now that I think about it o_o

Those nuns on shops photo looks plain ugly, would never buy them based on that. Chapeau bass for eye to finding cool minis in crappy presenting shops.

Hahaha I know, they're not exactly lovely miniatures after I got done with them either ;)
Believe it or not there's a shortage of smallish sc-fi nuns suitable for Sororitas novices lol
-
Ive got only 4 West wind I bought ages ago for being mollested by the French in Spain so I am not a mini nun expert but they looks to be a much better base models than that, wouldn't it be easier to convert some plain normal nuns that dont look offending to the eyes before conversion ?
But I have to say that your touch on them made them much more appealing than sellers job..
-
Very tough decision here, both excellent entries! Well done painters!
Thanks

Another one of mine, originally. From the old Chick Challenge. Definitely a blast from the past. :-*

Not fair this one, both are brilliant paint jobs

FFS! Beaten up by a couple of nuns, I'm not even catholic! lol
Top job Doc, the girl with the blue hair is excellent 8)
