Title: Scratchbuilt Sci-fi Hobby Terrain Tutorials?

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any hobby terrain tutorials where the person has built it from scratch? Stuff like this from Privateer Press (http://privateerpress.com/hobby/hobby-blog/cryxian-bile-reservoir).

I used to love reading stuff like this in White Dwarf but they're hard to find now.

There are many awesome efforts documented here on the LAF, but another great site that comes to mind would be Terragenesis (http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/), which has loads of scratchbuilt efforts, most with extensive how-to's as well...  :)

they might not be for the  WarmaHordes stuff that you want but if you search for The Terrain Tutor on YouTube, you should be able to get plenty of ideas :o)

The Infinity forum is worth a glance too - Infinity is such a terrain heavy game that, inevitably, making terrain is quite a focus. I think the section is called 'Arcologies'... can't find link this minute, will reply again if I do.
