ACW is not one of my periods. I've played countless games but my historical knowledge is wargamey, at best. Knowledge, of course, doesn't stop one having a great time playing an ACW game.

I recently had the opportunity to play in a multi player mini-campaign, including a naval blockade, with the LOGW. The tables

ACW is a personal favorite of mine and is always a good era to wargame.

Large scale battles aren't usually my thing, so the ACW stuff that interests me are the skirmishes and raids. Reading about Mosby's Raiders opened up a whole new line of ideas for me, so in my case at least the extra knowledge did give me some new fun!
