Title: Tai Pan: Boxer Rebellion Inspiration
Post by: Smokeyrone on June 25, 2017, 09:04:05 PM
Working on a massive 15mm Boxer Rebellion terrain project.

Noticed the movie "Tai Pan" is on Xfinity free movies.

Its about the Opium Wars or something.

Think it would be a good inspirational movie while making stuff?

I hear the film is not very good, and only a shadow of the book. It remember it was on TV years ago and failed to hold my interest. It is set after the end of the first war in Hong Kong. Not sure if there's any military stuff in it.

If you are looking for Opuim War inspiration look no further than The Opium War 鸦片战争 1997

I think the whole movie is on Youtube.

It was a stinker.  Just awful.  I can see more Chinese decor at Chef Lim's buffet in Vero Beach!  (And eat Ho Ho Squid)

Dont watch it!  It sucks!
