Lots of choices but no conclusion.
Dark ages normans, saxons, irish and vikings
Old west us cavalry and outlaws
Moderns - cartel gang
20mm ACW
28mm ACW (yes i have both scales)
Texan war of Independence
and of course my celtiberians unfinished from last year.
Decisions, decisions... o_o

28MM ACW, It will give me inspiration to start my own!
-
Sorry David. i decided to have a go at my napoleonics.
The ACW figures will be painted at a small step and i will post them on my Old West Thread.
James my napoleonics cried out louder than the rest. ;D
And i have a go at my napoleonics.
Since i only play skirmish games my forces will be varied.
I have french fusiliers and voltigeurs, british line and light infantry plus 95th and i have both portuguese caçadores, line and some civilians.
I also have some french engineers and a pontoon bridge.
Here are some of my collection to paint:
-
Painted so far.
Royal navy landing party on the pipeline. :D
-
Looking forward to seeing them
-
Good to see you painting again, go for it.
Tony.
-
I will Tony. ;)
-
Watching with interest Rui :)
-
And yours will be inspiration for me, Richard. ;)
-
And the first ones.
-
Another shot with my damn camera and my "professional experience"... o_o
-
And a boat to land my party.
More to come soon.
-
Coming along nicely!
-
Thanks David. :)
And now some portuguese caçadores. Company of atiradores (riflemen) from the 6th battalion.
-
And a experience with bases.
-
Loving these. I think the base looks excellent
-
Looking good mate :)
cheers
James
-
Nice work Rui. Like the caçadores, the 6th eh who'd have thought you would pick them :D
-
Thank you for the comments. :)
David i did liked the effect of the base so the others will have those too. :D
James the account of painted figures so far (thanks to AP):
10 portuguese caçadores
4 royal naval landing party
16 20mm ACW figures
6 15mm Star Wars figures
20 half painted napoleonic french and british
Not bad for a start.
Tony indeed why i picked the 6th amongst many other battalions ? ::)
I enjoyed painting them so i may add a few more in a near future.
Now i will add a few more figures for the landing partie and some french infantry and voltigeurs but thats for August.

Hello all.
Late as usuall and i changed the title so if the moderator thinks wise to delete the thread because its not following the rules of the AP 2017 feel free to do so.
I´m too much dispersed to several projects to just follow one so i change my period painting frequently.
Here are my latest ones. ACW union and confederate.
Union troops are mostly Redoubt enterprises with some Foundry and the officers are from Renegade and 1st Corps.
Confederates are all foundry.
-
And the confederates.
I will get back to the napoleonics soon and keep this period too.
And who knows what else. But most importantly its painting something. :)
-
They look great. I can never stick to one project o_o
-
Ok. Since i didnt finished this last year i will get back to my napoleonics so that at least my painting mojo gets back and i paint some for this year.
So my theme for AP 2018 is napoleonics again, picking where i stopped last year.
-
ACW figures look great, I too can't seem to keep it to one project at a time. :) Love the Portuguese Cacadores too!!
-
Thanks Donnie. :)
I have to stay focused at least for 5 miniatures a month... ::)
-
Hi Rui I thought I had bagged all your Napoleonics last year but looks like you had some left...good work ;)
-
I still have a lot of them to paint. :D
British, french, portuguese, russians and spanish/portuguese guerrillas so lots to entertain myself.

Your Tiradors, are they Perry figures? I didn't know they did any Portuguese yet..
-
No mate. They where made by Victrix (sculped by Paul Hicks) and now sold by Brigade Games.
They also have line infantry, cavalry and artillery.
Unfortunatelly only available in USA. :(

Interesting, be they metal or plastic? Would they match Front Rank?
-
They match perfectly well with Perrys. About size, the BG ones are thinner than Front Rank but they arent bad mixed.
I would preferr separated units though. The diference in detail is noticeable and FR figures are bulckier.
