Been a while since I posted here. But I do intend to put in some new work.

Love the base and there is some great stuff on the blog, I particularly like the apple juice carton clasp door which you made.
One of my many unrealised dreams is to build a modular base, ever since I played xcom-enemy unknown and evil genius back in the heyday of pc gaming.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you. Look in Poundland for artist canvas boards or the Works. I use these as a baseboard. Just cover in stick address labels then paint colour of your choice. I like the concrete cement grey. Easy to do.
Here's some more pics of what you can do with bargain finds.

I can't stop collecting these Robot models. They are so Incredibly useful and the Multi-pose aspect and kit bashing they allow make them useful in a wide variety of areas.
They are incredibly brightly coloured. Orange, Lime Green and Bright Blue. But at £1 each I don't care after I paint and adapt them.

Here are some bits I recently decided to add into my Set Dressing for the base.
Poundland strikes again!!

A great bit or 2 bits of Sci-fi looking scenery can be made out of this mini-screwdriver set casing.

Is the bunker the thing in the back?
Are those robots online anywhere?

The Round grey coloured with a brown coloured roof is the armymen bunker. You can get them on ebay in various deals.
Anywhere from 2 for £1.68 to 10 for something about £6.60. From China with no P&P.
The Robots if you mean the Brightly coloured Blue, Orange and Green ones. Were marketed as Alien Terminators. I believe these are the rip off ones from a line called M.A.R.S. which were much better quality but much more expensive!!
I am afraid you will just have to keep eyes open for them. Look in cheap shops. I got nearly all of mine from a shop in Birmingham which is a £1 type shop. I added a lot to them but they are good for multipose.
I haven't seen them on ebay but you may find them there.

I like everything ... except the one with the screw sticking out of it. Other than that, I like them.
Also, I have some of those robots. They were at the $1 store here, as well. They need some work, and strangely ... they smell horribly. I'm assuming it's some cancer causing fumes coming off the plastic, but for now, they are in a ziploc in a box, sealed in another box. I'll get around to them eventually.

Yeah! I removed the screw as it was a test of concept. I wasn't happy myself. I have replaced it with a ballpoint pen refill. looks a bit better.
Not noticed a smell or fumes coming from my robots though. They took the paint really well after undercoating and I have loads painted from ages ago that are still holding onto the paint. I was warned they may crack up but they haven't.

My Bulkhead Door. Made from Hornby/Triang Bridge support. I got a load of these and used most of the smaller ones as tables. However. The two bigger deeper ones would have been to silly to turn on their sides as tables.
So they became these doors. Add a Drinks carton clasp door and more bits from the spares. I like the Police car light as a door warning light here.

Adventure 2000 by Matchbox. Started to modify the vehicles of the Kill-Dozer style vehicle.
Plus Another bit of scenery being done. I like to work on various things at once. Stops me getting bored.
Front section.

Still have a bit of tidying up though.

Another add on I found at a toyfair recently. But at £1 I couldn't leave it there! Could I?

I actually got 2 of them. One in the darker green. I had to replace a wheel on the other one and found that the same toyfair had a bag of Lego wheels for 50p, that were almost the perfect size. Lots of lego used on this one. Flat smooth plates can make great storage and facing off sheets. Spares raided yet again. :)

Some work I have been doing on extra bits for my secret base.
The Subs are from Matchbox Lost World Jurassic Park. I thought they would make great worker hover drones.
I substantially "Dirtied" them up.
The Gate is made from wooden puzzle parts and needle point mesh. Very useful for this indeed. Still to be painted.

Something else I just started made from Jurassic World Matchbox Die-cast on the cheap!
I spotted these at the same time as the Subs I previously used.
I kept thinking about the figures from Superfigs Old Glory and their round floating robots.
I grabbed a few as again they were only £1 each from my local Entertainer toy shop.

These look promising!
I'm already thinking about maybe doing something similar, but with much less diameter... :)

Yeah. They are a bit larger than I think would have been ideal. My scaling eyes weren't really working. :o
But I kinda like them now. I really must paint them up. But I tend to flip flop around projects until inspiration hits me again.
I am going to be looking out for smaller spheres to do what I think you are thinking of too.

Here are some of the Fences I have been building from Needle point Canvas sheets and Jenga Blocks.

I intend to make a load more. I like having lots! :D

Long time since here.
Here is a bit of work i have done.
A couple of new vehicle conversions and using knock off Lego as turrets on these vehicles is quite effective and cheap.
