For those of you who are interested, there has been a lot of work recently finishing up Palaeo Diet: Eat or be Eaten.

Looks amazing! Those are even the minis I wanted to use!
-
Cheers!
I'm not overly impressed by the company that makes those little hunters, but the figures themselves are superb!
-
I have seen often these miniatures and game, but where can we buy these miniatures? And is there a stockist for Europe?

The miniatures are from Flytrap Factory. They are a New Zealand company. Shipping is very expensive to the UK and variable - I waited between four and 12 weeks for my different orders.
-
Funny, I have had nothing but good experiences with Anton at Flytrap. And his newest version of the cavemen and beasties are spectacular. What sort of problems have you had with them?

There is a lengthy blog post from Nic re: this subject. Seems justifiably sour...

As Lead Asbestos says, there is a post on my blog covering the issue and I don't really want to have a full recap here.
Suffice to say, yes, his sculpting is awesome. If you do want to read about why I was so disappointed with the company, it is on the blog.

I look forward to the release of these!
-
Your painting is excellent, and I'm pretty excited about the rules too! Any ETA?
-
I can't find them in their shop section or their website?

Thanks Barry and LeadAsbestos, looking at a mid-August release. We are doing final proofing of the rules now.
Gefreiter - I know Anton was going to reclassify the 20mm cavemen I have as pygmies to conform with his new, larger range. Not sure why they are not on the shop.
-
This was in a seperate thread, but I am attempting - in a very ad hoc way - to merge the two.
My recent attempt at converting a Flytrap caveman into a cave-lady/female hunter.

She sure is no Rachel Welch... More on the blog: http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/most-of-us-have-image-that-comes-to.html (http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/most-of-us-have-image-that-comes-to.html)

If the rule book hasn't gone to print yet, you might want to fix the mis-spelling of "palaeo" at the start of the back cover blurb.
Looks like fun.

LOL! Great catch. I hadn't noticed that myself. Thanks Steve.
Still out with proofers, so hasn't gone to print yet. :D

This does look a very interesting and original idea for a game with some wonderful brushwork on those characterful little critturs thrown in for extra sauce.
:-* :-*
Lovely painting and conversion work.

A very quick (and delighted, and rather more comercial than normal...) note to say that Palaeo Diet: Eat or be Eaten is available now as a pdf direct from Ganesha Games. A hard copy will be available in the coming weeks.
Check it out here ---> http://www.ganeshagames.net/product_info.php?cPath=1_59&products_id=328&osCsid=35svq6v12mkl49hvf76kf3tpq6 (http://www.ganeshagames.net/product_info.php?cPath=1_59&products_id=328&osCsid=35svq6v12mkl49hvf76kf3tpq6)
Palaeo Diet: Eat or be Eaten is a stand-alone set of gaming rules for recreating prehistoric animal hunts on your table top. The game models a time when humans were not yet in control of the world around them, when the landscape could just as easily give succour to a struggling tribe, as it could cripple a thriving people.
Designed with solo and multiplayer games in mind, players take on the role of the hunting party while an integral response mechanism means that beasts react in different ways in different situations.
In an unforgiving world, the choice is simple - either eat, or be eaten.
-
Sounds interesting.
Do you have solo playing rules?
-
Have yet to play but they read through very well and would suit solo play well because of the animal reaction rules. More reports on the Clan of the Care Bear to follow.
-
Do you have solo playing rules?
Indeed! They are designed so it is the player (or players) verse the game. There are ten scenario suggestions in the rules, and seven of them could very easily be played solo. The other three are more competitive between rival hunters/hunting parties.

Thanks mate. In an unpredictable and unforgiving world, we all need a Clan of the Care Bear! :D
