I have succumbed to the lure of Games Workshop again and have started plotting out my new Age of Sigmar army...
It is based on old crap I had lying around and will mainly feature conversions of that.
Everything is painted with extreme speed and want of consideration.

Second ed Warhammer rulebook was what immediately sprung to mind. It's got a proper 80s feel, love it.
-
Very old school. Very over the top in a good way.
-
NEVER has the Forces of Unpleasantness looked SO GOOD! The Charioteer is one of THE MOST imaginative creations I've seen in sometime...silly to boot, which appeals to me. I am looking forward to the developments. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Really nice stuff there. I thought you had packed everytning away.

I did pack away my gw minis. But I dug them out again. The gaming table is gone though. Didn't make much sense.
-
Great stuff and loving the gloss!! Maybe time for a gloss revival. :)

Blanchitsu. That works for me and sums up the aesthetic nicely.
-
These are brilliant!

Yes, indeed! Only a relatively small number of painters produce stuff that benefits from matt, I reckon. In most cases, gloss adds richness, depth and lustre. I suspect that the rise of internet blogs and thus more photographing of miniatures has driven the rise of matt, rather than how miniatures actually look on the table.
Anyway, the results here are splendid!
-
Absolutely wild. That chariot rider is definitely the sort of thing that would be at the head of pipe dream-esque Chaos army, eyes rolling in all directions as he chops enemies in half. lol
All your stuff heavily makes me think more of Berserk than it does Blanchitsu (in the best possible way). Something like:

Such style! :-* Personally the way I think Chaos should be! Not bright clean colours! 8)

-
Proper gore in the best way possible.
Love 'em, CV.
Love 'em!

Absolutely love them! Hadn't visited your blog for a while - it's all looking brilliant! The Shaggoth is one of my favourite GW models (trumped by the 90's 2 axe beastlord, who is very very cool), he looks brill here. Really great.
