I have this crazy idea of doing another new project - Weird WW1.
Does anyone know who makes Angels in 25/28mm ? I want some for Angels of Mons.
Any suggestions?
-
RAFM and West Wind that I can think of. The West Wind ones are under Lucifer's War.
-
You know, I was going to suggest Black Cat, but I think for what you seem to be aiming for, Rhoderic's right. West Wind or RAFM. There are also some angels in the Reaper range that might work well.

Do you want beatific, serene looking angels? Or do you want wrath of god, avenging types?
Because if its the latter, then you can't do better than the one Heresy sell:

He is a big bugger though. As befits an agent of the lord's righteous fury, if you ask me.

Thanks guys - the West Wind figures are very nice

Can't help you with Angels but it's a brilliant idea 8)

Dark Sword do a great looking angel figure, not the heaven's fury type though

This is the Angel I use in my Weird WWII. The pic below is a painted example from Reaper's site.

Those are both fantastic looking angels!
Bugsda - Thankyou!

I was thinking that there are a few in the Hell Dorado range. I think I saw some there.
Also the West Wind Lucifer Wars has a ton.
-
Yeah, Reaper has had more than a few over the years. Even a boxed set, at one point, if I remember correctly.
-
what about this one from Ilyad?

Yes, those are very pretty. Consider the angelic beings from Rackham.
-
wow the ilyad! i like this kind of wings! :)
-
Damned expensive though.
-
The angels from Reaper are the ones I use for Occult Wars.
-
How abt these, from the 1999 range:

Hasslefree sell separate sets of wings might be worth picking them up for conversions?
-
Rackham had some cool 'Angels of Light' models; I think it's a two-model blister, that was really nice. It's from their now 'old' metal Confrontation range, so not sure how easy to find, but probably cheap and look really good.
-
There's one from the Dreamblade series of an angel holding a Tommy-gun. It's 40-54mm tall.
-
Reaper does several very nice angels. I think they even have a boxed set. They used to anyway.
-
There's also Celestine from the GW 40k Witch Hunter range, although she has a cloak instead of wings and wears armor. I don't think it'll work for you, but might want to have a look and decide then for yourself. :)
-
Have you looked at the Heroclix JLA figures, i have an angel from there that i had the same idea. :D

It's odd but I see angels as more inkeeping with WWI for some reasons, this bloody nice angel mini sweeping over Ypres or the Somme.
Very nice though lovely infact.

The actual story is suposed to have started with a shoirt story By Arther Machen called the bowmen, with St George appearing & callinig up the Ghosts of agincourt in the form of Archers to protect the BEF :D
