We were invited to a game of Blood and Plunder last week at a friend's house.

Very nice.
How did you find the rules ? Fun ?

The game ran very smoothly, one player per side with Brian, the host , playing umpire. There are a few qwerks in the rules , a unit being able to fight to the last man for example. Overall I,d give it a thumbs up , we certainly had a good time.

Nice looking table. Someday I had to play this setting too. o_o lol

Yes, I like these Skirmish type games.

Great pictures!
I really enjoy the game as well, although I have to say I don't think I've ever seen a unit survive to the last man.
As units take hits, even hits that don't remove casualties, they also acquire fatigue, which represents a combination of literal fatigue as well as fear. When they reach three fatigue, they typically retire away from battle.
If a unit gets fatigue equal to either seven, or double the amount of figures in the unit, it routs off the board. It's that reason that you don't see a lot of units with only one or two figures left.
Anyway, hope you keep getting a chance to play! If you do, please keep putting up great pictures!

Certainly a handsome game, with that table and those figures.
On my screen, a few of the pictures are showing upside down.
