New project, Ynnari Eldar Corsairs. I really like the new Ynnari faction, the back story to establish the new faction was very nice. Since Yvraine was also a pirate in her story I decided to build a core force of corsair from the Void Dragon faction. Hopefully over next months you will se it grow.
So without further blah blah...

Lasblaster Corsair with jump packs, the mini in the middle is armed with a Dark Eldar Blaster. I am planning squads, each 5 member strong. One squad Shardcarbines and Blaster, next two Lasblaster and Shuriken Cannon. And since I just loved the corsair jetbikes from FW I also finished one with a Dissonance cannon.
For the 1st time since early 2000 I used my airbrush again to create the dragon scales on the bike canopy. I used Anarchy HS stencils, just watch one of their YouTube videos to see how it is done, I was totally amazed how well it worked.

Nice paint job. The scales effect is very good.
-
Gorgeous as always Agis! :-*
-
Thanks, to be honest, I was amazed that I could create the scale effect in one go!
-
Beautifull stuff

Georgeous as always mate, :-* I'm liking the piratey colours :)
Cheers

Really cool work. Bravo!

These are wonderful, and for some reason I always liked Eldar Corsair.
-
Lovely stuff!

The paintjobs are amazing.
Where do you get your photography backgrounds from? They work really well with the white flare to draw attention to the miniatures.

Thanks, for the background I just searched the net for "miniature photography backgrounds" and voila, something useful appeared...
Then printed it on the highest setting of my inkjet and that's it.

1st squad finished. The Blaster Corsair will eventually be replaced by a Shuriken Cannon Corsair.
The leader is a mixture of plastic Guardian parts, a Drukhari head and FW Corsair parts. Worked pretty well for me.

These are simply marvellous.

Loving the threatening Xeno aesthetic on these guys, inspiring work !
-
Thanks folks!

Eldar corsairs are FW list combining few Craftworlders with some Dark Eldars and adding Coirsair troops unit.
Ynnari is new mainstream sub faction again combining Craftwworld, Harlequin and Dark Eldar units (but almost everything except Avatars and Haemonculus and some other random things)
There are 3 Innari specific characters

I could not say it better! :)

Under 8th Edition Eldar Pirates are great fun!
Pirates are around since the introduction of the Eldar.
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Eldar_Corsair
They were fleshed out a bit more in 2011 Imperial Armour Volume Eleven - The Doom of Mymeara:
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Armour_Volume_Eleven_-_The_Doom_of_Mymeara (currently OOP)
The good thing is that all units are covered in the current 8th Edition Imperial Armour – Index: Xenos book:
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-AT/Imperial-Armour-Index-xenos-2017
Pirates are just crying to get a wild mixture of craftworld and Dark Eldar equipment.

Next mini - the Yncarne. Every Ynnari army needs one, or?

The Yncarne - Avatar of Ynnead. Painted by Peter Zuidgeest of Scar’s Minis and some retouches here and there by me. The Yncarne is the Avatar of the newly awakened Eldar God Ynnead.

Nice paint :)
I am REALLY not a fan of the miniature though... The flame effect is good in principle but hasn't been particularly well executed by the digital sculptors.
It's a shame because the character behind the weird flame effect looks pretty cool :)
-
Miles better than the studio model and it actually kinda tempts me to get one.
-
As Voivod says - I love to totally different direction you took with this model! Wow!
-
Nice work. I'm well out of the fluff knowledge of the Eldar. Is this following what GW are bringing out or are you putting your own spin on things?
-
I built mine few days ago and I am really impressed by this model although gluing psychic blast from 18 (?) parts was silly :)
But I am quite intimidated by your model and was wondering how to paint this bloob of energy
I like your yellow oranges a lot!
Great job here!

Thanks folks, Peter really make this model shine.
We had some constructive discussion via What'sApp how to paint it.
In the end it all came together pretty nicely.

LOL, honestly my thoughts exactly when I first saw the mini.
I bought the box because of the other two characters. ;)
For the Yncarne I thought long and hard how to remove the flames, but since they are more or less an integral part of the mini I gave up end settled instead for a cool colour scheme.
The current trend in minis to add flames, smoke etc is still NOT my thing ...
(Maybe I get really old...)

See my website please... (I quote some of the "official" background there)
Otherwise just search the net for "Ynnari"!

Lasblaster Corsairs with jump packs, the mini in the middle is from the new Voidscarred Corsair box, heavy gunner with wraithcannon. On the picture below you can see the nice dragon cloak, I really like these small details!

Nice work. I find it amusing that I'm finally selling off my 40K armies when they start supporting Eldar properly. I did pick up the Corsair box for use with "not"cromunda style games. A good looking kit, though I haven't put any under the clippers just yet.
For small, non-army battles, Corsairs are one of the coolest Eldar factions that has never received proper love until now. I did run some proper Eldar pirates when playing 2nd edition.
