Title: How to Paint Kensei Samurai Minis?
Post by: ErikB on September 05, 2017, 10:04:17 PM
I promised a pal of mine that I would paint up a small army (ca. 30 minis) of Kensei samurai and ashigaru from Zenit miniatures.

http://web.zenitminiatures.es/en/kensei-the-game/

They are tiny and have very fine detail, some of the most subtile I have tried painting.  The minis are covered with little strings that are too tiny even to drybrush.

Also... it's samurai armor.  Very very complicated, unlike an European knight in metal and a simple cloth!  I can't even discern what each piece of the armor is!

I have been painting minis for about 15 years but I have avoided samurai up until this point for these reasons, specifically.

Does anyone have an idea how to approach painting these guys?
