Title: Human vs. Dwarf size comparison
Post by: NickNascati on September 06, 2017, 12:55:52 PM
All,
Maybe a crazy question, but....  I have a lot of Reaper Minis Dwarfs, which I like a great deal.  A Dwaf standing erect with a helmet on measures 27mm from sole of foot to top of helmet.  I am having a hard time finding Humans, even in the Reaper range, that look right next to them in comparison.  Any suggestions?

Agree most Reaper Dwarfs are really bulky. The newer/bones types especially.

The answer depends on what "look right" means for you. Obviously, they're too bulky for your taste in comparison for normal 28mm 'heroic' type humans.

Some of Reaper's human models are really big, in the category of 35mm. They might fit. But the size difference is not visible on their pages, so you need to find a shop where you can measure them in your own hands.

Another way could be going 40mm for the humans. There are some companies that manufacture them. Can't remember the names atm.

Edit: Enigma Miniatures, via CMON, is 32mm to the eye and about 35mm to the top of the head. IIRC, some are actually even taller. They had a metal line called 'Massive Darkness', which now is a name used for the CMON miniature board games. I wonder if those CMON:MD minis are 32/35mm too?
