Hi!
Firstly, thanks for all the terrific stuff posted here - amazing stuff!
So I have started my own ASOIAF-project and will be posting my progress here. I have yet to learn how to convert properly so for now it's basically just Perry WoR minis painted Lannisterish.
The plan is to build a Lannister army and a Tully/Stark army and have them battle for the Riverlands. First out are two Lannister foot knights, one Lannister archer, one Lannister hornblower and a Lorch knight.
I just started with the hobby and appreciate all feedback and criticism! :)

Good start.

Sweet start on the project/hobby looks better than anything i made when i first started!
Lannisters are a good choice for starting out, looking foward to seeing more as you progress.
Welcome to the crew 8)

Thanks! :D
Darathar, your stuff is really good!

I think they look quite good, esp. since you are just beginning to paint figures. Please do keep us updated.
Welcome to LAF!

Welcome to the Westeros party! Looks like you've got the basics down for a new hobbyist.
-
That's a nice start! Love the Lorch surcoat heraldry. :)
-
Welcome to the world of creating your own Game of Thrones armies :)
That's a good start...
-
Great start, really like the heraldry on the Lorch night and the Lannister lion on the musician did you do tbem freehand?
-
Thanks guys, means a lot! Everything is painted freehand! Currently working on a Lannister banner. To begin I will do a one Unit of sword/shield footknights, one of two-handed footknights, one of archers and one of billmen. The footknights will have mixed liverys. Besides that I will do a unit of the Brave Companions, as a fact I've already started with mr. Vargo Hoat.

Oh, Ogrob and Captain Blood: Your work is great! Really inspiring! :)
-
Thanks :)
I've added your thread to the LAF GoT compendium index 8)

Started playing around a bit with Green Stuff, lots of fun!
First a finished Lannister Flagbearer and Vargo Hoat of the Brave Companions (I'm working on his helmet but it's difficult to get the horns right!). Vargo is a Perry 100 years war body and arms plus Warlord celt head. After that I got started on a Stark Flagbearer and some northern levies. The flagbearer is Fireforge teutonic infantry with a Agema Velite head. The levies are GB Darkage warriors with some different heads for variety. Will start painting these today!

Lannister flagbearer and Vargo Hoat

Excellent rabble 8)
And Vargo Hoat looks good.
Throwing together figures from components and tarting them up with Green Stuff is highly addictive fun - be warned ;D lol

Some nice looking figures in there! Liking the freehand on the Lannister Banner.
-
So here comes the next update: Finished a Lannister archer, a Plumm knight and some Mormonts yesterday!
-
Nice, they look the parts! :)

Nice looking crew there. Like the fur pants on the Mormont warrior.
