A report on yesterday's ECW game here in GHQ is over on my blog. A taster to draw in the unwary visitor ~

gosh, another lovely board...
do you have post anywhere detailing how you made the boards? Looks like you used towelling as the base material?
any pointers appreciated.

That would be me, yes green towelling and teddy bear fur. Glued to MDF boards and sprayed with Halfords car spray, British Racing Green, then Rover Applejack followed by any sort of yellow that is available , I try and get Daytona Yellow if possible.
Here are some pics of boards I made for Dave's son Matt, on poly boards mounted on MDF though.

I'd forgotten how good that terrain was you made for Matt.

Excellent game and AAR.
One question, is there any significance in the round "command" bases in your rules? I only ask as a friend, Tim Elcock, has been writing his own ECW rules for some years (as well as working on a rough draft for the Too Fat Lardies), and has - quite independently - come up with round command stands for his regiments. I can't quite recall what significance they have in his draft rules, but it does allow him to change the identity - and even the allegiance - of a regiment just by substituting a different command stand.

I borrowed the idea of the stands from Dave Imrie. In advance of unit = moving, behind unit =stationary. An easy visual reference as to what units are doing.

Thanks - I'll mention that to Tim.
