I'm very pleased to announce that Simon Chick is the new owner of Steel Fist Miniatures.
Simon and I have worked together before. He has a great interest and sensitivity toward the historically accurate details that I like to put into the miniatures. Simon's medieval collections can be seen on his blog https://je-lay-emprins.blogspot.co.uk
Customers will also be pleased to know that there are plans to expand all the current ranges that Steel Fist produces, with me continuing to act as sculptor. This means that the 28mm Samurai, Renaissance and Later Medieval ranges will all see new figures being added.
For the time being the business will run as usual, but we have exciting plans for the future which we will advise on in the next few weeks.I would also like to take opportunity to thank all the customers who have supported the business and my vision of producing highly detailed miniatures from the very beginning until now.
I'm sure that Simon will continue this vision with the new miniatures.

Congratulations Simon and good luck for the future :)
-
Great news both I've got high hopes for the future under a combined artistic endeavour and eye for the details that make the difference. Best of luck in continuing the ranges and evolving the business.
-
Oh wow, excellent news! Nice one Simon!
I'm very pleased to hear you'll be going back to the late medieval range too, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I bought some of your armoured Swiss from Simon - they are fantastic!
-
Well well - Simon becomes a fully fledged lead baron ;)
I hope it works out very well for both of you. I'm sure it will. Bon chances!
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with between you...
-
Those are some great news! I've been a fan of Simon's work for quite a fair amount of time now, so I am more than pleased to hear that Steelfist is safely in his good hands. Still, with you as the sculptor, I have very little doubt the company will prosper into one of the very best in market. Cheers, will keep an eye on here!
-
I am very happy that Simon has taken this on. He is a perfectionist and enthusiast for medievals and will be able to keep the Steel Fist philosophy alive.

I just keep hoping you find a US distributor at some point. I really don't like dealing with the mess for international shipping.
-
Good news, great that the range will expand and carry on. :)
-
Congratulations, Simon. Very much looking forward to seeing how you take this forward.
-
Excellent - may it be a long and fruitful partnership!

Hopefully he will add sprues of separate Samurai/Ashigaru weapons and heads.
-
Great news!
Will the Swiss be entering the range?
-
Best wishes for the new venture, love the Steel Fist figures I've had so far, looking forward to more.
-
Good news, it would be very bad to lose this excellent range. So, an expert as new owner is great news. Looking forward for the next stuff.
-
Congratulations and best wishes for the future!
-
Banzei! Banzei! Banzei!
Was worried it was going to go the way of Venexia's 28mm Condottieri range...
-
All the best for the new management.
These are magnificent miniatures that I hope will be available for a long time to come.
-
Congratulations. I'm sure that this development will be very successful.
-
Here's hoping he realises that by reducing the prices to a realistic level he will sell lots more figures.
-
I don't see what's unrealistic about them. Full metal miniatures from a small one man operation, prices are right in line with similar companies.
-
£8.00 for a mounted figure is realistic? Both his nearest competitors charge half that price.
I live in a city with a couple of one man operations producing figures in a range of periods at less than half his prices. Its the old biro problem again. Make it expensive and you won't sell many, thus substantiating (dialectically almost) your high prices. Sell more cheaply and you will sell a lot more. The lower profit margin will be more than compensated for by the greater sales

Many thanks for all the words of support - currently sorting out a new website and we should have some new figures available next month, if everything goes to plan.
Regards, Simon.
-
Simon would love to see those hounds on general release.
All the best Guy
-
I guess Congratulations are in order.
-
Congrats on the combination!
Will the Swiss figures shown here ... https://je-lay-emprins.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/swiss-castings-for-sale.html ... be available through the new website, or can they still be ordered as described on that page?
-
GamesPoet
Thanks for the enquiry. If you'd like to order any of the Swiss you can do this as per the blog please. No immediate plans to add them to the Steel Fist catalogue just yet.
Regards, Simon.
-
Congratulations to you both, a great looking range saved. Hopefully to now go from strength to strength.

Might not be able to for a long while. After a good fisting.

I did but I'm still none the wiser. Seems to be an indicator of strength of some sort.
