Hi guys,
wanted to show you some WIP of a bonsho bell tower.
First I worked on the bell. The textured version does not have all details yet but I think it starts to look good.

I then modified my stone foundations for the Asian Temple to the new size I needed for this one.

Next is the wooden framework. It took some time to make it easy to build but also sturdy enough.

And now I am working on the roof. Here are the roof modules prior to final assembly, so you can see the texturing details.

Hope you like it so far. Now I need to fix some minor things, add the weathering and then it should be finished soon :-)

As someone who's a big supporter of well done papercraft terrain, that looks fantastic! Will have to go check out your other posts.

Really nice work.
I will have to have a look at your old posts to.

Thank you guys! I am taking a short break next week so here is a last WIP pic before I go recharging my batteries.

When I come back, I need to make the gong bar on the side and add the weathering layer and then it's on to instructions and release!
-
Another well conceived and executed piece.
Great textures
-
Added the lotus flower detail ornament on the bell texture and made a simpler, cylindrical bell. You can build the bell with the flat textures but in this build I have added the ornaments on thicker cardboard, so they pop out more.

Once you mount the simple bell into the tower it still looks great as you don't see that much of the upper parts anyway! :D

Very nice.

Of course such a bell tower would be in place for decades or maybe even centuries. So I added weathering layers. I have started with the framework. Sun and moss layers both active with this build.

Some more WIP
Weathering options for the roof are done.

So almost finished. Now I only need the bell gong bar and I want to add some mounting parts for the bell. They just are placed loose now.

The weathering options look really good!
-
Thank you Joe, I really tried to find the right look for the weather beaten moosy look.
I have now completed all the missing parts. Added the mount for the bell and the bell striking bar/log. Here I have used sowing thread to assemble it but there is also a paper pure option :)

I'm not a fan of paper scenery but what just did over here is nothing but impressive. Escpecially the colouring, great job!
-
Thank you very much . Coming from a not-fan that means alot :-*
Paper models (for several reasons) have become my path. But I do love all the great other creations I see in this hobby. Great scratch building buildings and terrain, great painted miniatures. I love this hobby :D

It's done! All packaged up and ready to go.
