Title: Looking for a decent but not huge Cthulhu model
Post by: NickNascati on November 10, 2017, 01:23:48 AM
All,
I play Pulp Alley, and I want something "Cthulhuish" for a Terror.  I have the Reaper Eldritch Demon, which is nice but small. I don't want anything as big or as pricey as the actual Reaper Cthulhu model.  What I'd like is something suitably demonic, around 6 inches tall.  ANy ideas?

Scibor miniatures do a very nice cthulu. One of my favourites of theirs.

Maybe look on ebay for some of the shadows over brimstone miniatures?

How big do you want? Khurasan has one that's nominally 15mm but scrubs up nicely with 28mm figures. $30 US when I bought it..

Finding something in between the Reaper Eldritch Demon & the Bones Cthulhu other than those already mentioned is a bit tricky. The Bones model should be cheap, but if it's too big (7" +) I'd go for the aforementioned Scibor one - unfortunately it's probably more expensive than the Bones one, particularly importing it to the US. The Khurasan one is good (is his site back up again?) & being US based won't demand your first born in carriage charges.
If you can wait a little while, Dust are releasing a 'Cultist' faction with two 'Cthulhu' sculpts, one flying & one with some scenery (they're supposed to be available by Christmas but who knows with them...). They seem to be the size you want & shouldn't be too pricy.
