Title: Kickstarter- KoW Vanguard by Mantic
Post by: Sir_Theo on November 16, 2017, 11:51:47 AM
I notice it's the final day of the latest Mantic games Kickstarter, a skirmish game to complement their Kings of War game.

Something I might pick up at retail (rules) but some of the figures look nice. As does a bit of the scatter scenery.

The pledges feel like a steal with all those achieved stretch goals  :)

Some of the miniatures and terain are a blast!

In for the book for now. I will probably also get the 2-player set in the Pledge Manager so me and my mate both have a warband and a book at $57.50 each...a real steal!

I really wanted to pledge, but the expected release date is a year off which will mean into 2019 more than likely with delays. I am also hesitant due to the lack of renders for the majority of the models. Illustrations look great, but how often have you seen minis look nothing like the concept drawings? I will keep up with it and more than likely will buy it when it comes out. I just can't bring myself to spend $150+ on something I will not see for a year or more when Christmas is around the corner and there is already some awesome Walking Dead All Out War items and terrain that I need to pick up now. Not to mention all the great Nintendo Switch games that release this month and next.

So pledge a small amount now and wait for the pledge manager after Christmas before deciding to take the plunge on one of the bigger pledges. By then there should be more renders or even 3D prints to help you make up your mind.

I'll go for the 150$ pledge; just too much interesting goodies to pass on...
