Title: My SAGA Warbands (photo added 25/11)
Post by: Davea on November 17, 2017, 09:11:24 PM
I have been playing SAGA randomly for a couple of years, and after re-basing my existing Arthurian warband (mostly similar pose Foundry figures) for Impetus (which is now a half finished project- I have lots of those) - had to replace it.

Originally was going to be GB plastics (as I have a bit of travelling to get to where I play and plastic figures can literally be thrown in a box) but after seeing Capt Blood and Koyotes painting of the Footsore figures could not resist buying them and seeing what sort of job I could do on them. These are nowhere up to their standard of painting.

These were painted in a month of spare time, just to have something playable, at a stretch would be 6 points.

All Footsore figures with LBM shield decals.

Warlord and 2 companions - I didn't like the Warlord waving to the crowd hand - so he got a axe to hold up instead.

I have another 8 Warriors and 4 Cavalry to paint, and they will be complete for now and give me some playing options.

Have a couple other Warbands  under construction and will post more photos as I get time.

Trying to sort out what figures I already have so I don't purchase needlessly  (as if that would ever happen  lol )

Anyway in one of the many piles of unfinished projects I found this - I am sure it is "similar" to what a Pict Warlord on chariot would look like !

Now to search for what figures can I find to go with her.

Thanks everyone for the positive replies, will be the encouragement needed, I hop to actually finish these projects instead of adding them to the stupidly large amount of unfinished projects I have.

My new Viking Warband has commenced again, after painting and selling all previous attempts.

I have finally got the first unit up to a full Warrior unit of 8 with adding the Bad Squiddo Games Standard Bearer to the 7 Foundry figures I had  - I am sure I read somewhere it was only a myth Viking Helmets did not have horns.  lol lol lol

Flag and Shield Decals are all  LBM - the edges of the shields are blended in -  will have to check if the declas have they shrunk (problem I have had in the past, as the shields were done quite a while ago) and why the white outline on some

Now to stay focused and finish the last Late Romans before painting anything else.
