I'm happy to show you our fifth batch of 1:600th scale Age of Sail naval flags sheets: this time, those belonging to 17th century Portuguese, Dutch and Ottoman warships.
As usual, the new flag sets come as DIN A7 paper sheets, each including an ensign, two alternative/complementary mast flags, a bow jack and a pennant; all them, slightly textured and following the general pattern shown below:

After this addition, our Naval Flags range (http://www.minairons.eu/category.php?id_category=78) is right now comprising 15 different sets belonging up to 7 maritime nations --as well as those of a famous pirate! Besides, more flag sets from both 17th and 18th centuries are awaiting their chance on our Wishlist (http://www.minairons.eu/cms.php?id_cms=4).
Perhaps worth to be noted that these naval flags are perfectly suitable to Peter Pig's sailing ships range (http://www.minairons.eu/category.php?id_category=77), as it can be seen below:

Very nice Lluís ! Will you make the flags in any other scale ? I would love to have some in 15/28mm for pirate games :D
Saludos

Well, naval flags of these times were literally huge --especially stern ensigns.
So, if an ensign drawn for 1:600 scale (3mm figures, roughly) can be up to 18mm long, let's imagine now how large should be that one properly scaled to 1:100 or even 1:56!! One such flag alone would fill up a DIN A5 or A4 sheet!
I imagine you don't need a strictly scaled ensign for your ships, but one adapted to your model ship actual size instead. Might I know how large are your ships? (length, width and height) If possible, show me a photo of the thing, so I can figure out what size of flags would match well.
Regards,
Lluís

Hi Lluís,
a good example would be this one :
http://ainstycastings.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/63/products_id/648/osCsid/r5nj43m7ksdjteub83u03fqd66
a man of war for 28mm not fully scaled, but quite nice, the total lenght of the ship is 43cm long and 14 cm wide.

Uhm, that would mean an ensign not less than 40mm long, even 50mm... Please would you mind writing to me at lvilalta [at] minairons [dot] eu?
Thanks,
Lluís
