I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time with a focus of scifi/fantasy, but I'm now venturing into the heady world of historicals, with a view to getting some colonial action :)
I'm intending to do Indian Mutiny to kick off, but while I'm waiting on the figures I thought I'd start with a figure already in my possession, this Wargames Foundry North-West Frontier Afghan command figure. I'll try to restrain from posting single figure posts in future, but given that this is my first ever historical figure I figured he was worthy of an outing :D

cheers

Well done sir!

One figure at a time is fine, Steve, if that's how you want to do it. Would rather see one than none. :)
Congrats on your first historical! He looks smashing.

A great start! Looking forward to continue!

Thanks for the kind words all. Onwards and upwards!

Lovely brushwork ;D
Those old Wargames Foundry Afghan sculpts are still up there with the best figures from today's marketplace. To think they are probably twenty odd years old, such lovely figures. :-*

Beautiful figure - slow and steady is fine.

Great work on a "classic" mini :-*

Excellent painting, the face is superb! Welcome! Waiting to see more of your works!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! He's been joined by a rather shifty-looking fellow - but that could just be due to my sub-par painting of the eyes! ;D

Truly outstanding work, Steve. Your colours really pop the figures.
