I am starting with the Goliaths. A gang I always laughed at since the original minis were IMO really bad.
Todays multipart plastic minis are a totally different breed. Only thing that I still don’t like are the big mohawks, but no big deal, any excessive hair can be simply cut away.
My gang will be based on the BANE aesthetics from the 3rd Batman movie. So here we go, first two minis painted:

Wonderful work there Sir!
-
Fantastic!
Wouldn't want to meet them in a dark corner of the underhive.
-
GREAT idea and brushwork, CONGRATULATIONS! :-*
Now you have to do some "Catwoman" Eschers! ;)
-
Thanks folks!
Now you have to do some "Catwoman" Eschers! ;)
Nah, I think more in the Harley Quinn direction...
Bane Bandits vs Harley Harlot (or Quins Queens)
;)
-
Great work! 8) Nice colour scheme! I think giving them the hair cut really makes a difference!
-
Thanks folks!

AWESOME!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Nice work. Those guns look like they would house massive bullets. They look like a super-sized stub gun (or a stub gun on steroids?)
-
Thanks folks!

Hell, yes! That gets my vote! :D :D :D :D :D
-
Those look great. Looking forward to your Eschers.
-
Thanks again folks, some more Goliath will follow, after that some Escher.
Might take some time.
-
Nice metalwork on the bolters sir! 8)
Cheers
Matt
-
Lovely brushwork.
You have certainly improved the look with the snip.
:-* :-*
Although I am internally chuckling at those supersized stub guns.
lol
-
Excellent. I too did not like the original Goliath figures and I was not impressed with the new ones, but your painting has made me reconsider them.
-
Brutal.
They're awesome.
-
Wow, those look great!
Total badasses!
-
They look amazing! You've made me reconsider selling my Goliaths from the underhive set. Looking forward to more.
-
They're a tad chunky aren't they. Ridiculously big boots and guns. How do the scale up next to a standard human fig by the likes of em4?
-
Big thanks again, more soon!
Although I am internally chuckling at those supersized stub guns.
My 1st thought exactly, I was thinking, "is this an Orc gun?"
-
Great paintjob, Agis! (as Always ;))
I'm still looking for a good color scheme for my goliath, but your "all black" is great... maybe I'll steal the idea get inspired ;) :D
-
The really nice feedback here and BoW got me motivated to finish two more minis:
and a group shot:

and as always more pics on my site: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/necromunda.html

Lovely, smooth brushwork.
So much so, I am liking the subject matter better than I have in the past.
:-*
-
Always love to see your work & these don’t disappoint 8) :o :-*
-
Great paint!
Well done.

As a guide they are on 32mm bases.

Would love to help, but I do not have any EM4...
But they BIG!!!

They look like they eat 3 em4 for breakfast!
-
Great additions!
-
Great execution as always.
And always, fast execution as well.
Be sure to get the Redemptionists when they come out. This way i can be jelly on my fav gang and just tuck my models away in the drawer.

-
Great theme, as always I am very impressed!
-
The figures are nice I like the dark palette and shorter hair. To me it makes them more menacing.

Beautiful work! Richard
-
These look great. I painted my first Goliath ‘test’ last night in the stock scheme and he looks embarrassing in comparison lol
-
Finished my Leader (or Champion):
Since I wanted him to stand out a bit, he received shoulderpads and a breather that still shows his face.
I also kept the steel Mohawk.
And a group shot of the gang so far:

I will now start on my Escher!
and as always more on my site: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/necromunda.html

Brilliant!
There is a really great vibe given out by the gang.
You have made the slightly absurd look believable.
:-* 8) :-*
Question for everyone reading this: Is there a picture of one of these fellas next to an original 90's Goliath anywhere to be found? I really am curious to know just how big they are.
:)
-
I like the skin, what do you use? They look underworld and crazy.
-
I like the skinniness, what do you use? They look underworld and crazy.
I used MSP "Rosy Skin" (but any light skin colour will do), then GW Flesh shade.
Then Rosy Skin and two or three layers with more and more white mixed in.
-
Excellent, and the red eyes!
-
Beautiful models Agis! I've never been a fan of this kind of sculpts, but your opaque and "mild" tones really make them far more believable!

Funny, I thought it is a grey-tone.
-
Thanks folks!

Yep, one stim pill too much... ;D
Or the 40+ coffees before the battle!

Found this online:

Cheers, Agis.
:)
Funny how the new G's are a fair bit bigger but look more 'reasonably' proportioned in the muscle tone.
I say 'reasonably' in a GW sense, of course, as the older versions look more 'pumped up', whereas the new versions seem more in size with an older Marine.
-
.... whereas the new versions seem more in size with an older Marine.
I am very wrong with that, they are even bigger!
I asked a friend of mine who has just picked up the game to take a shot with an older figure and a 'standard' Marine.....
-
Distracted by Star Wars I only finished 1 Escher:
Nice sculpt but IMO not as good as the Goliath.
Way too big and showing the usual GW sculpting flaws, feet and hands are too big, cartoonish proportions,
the Goliath physiques can be justified with the uncontrolled drug abuse, but way are the Escher as tall as a Space Marine?
Really strange since I liked the Escher minis more when they 1st popped up on the Net.

Your Goliath leader looks insanely dangerous! Great start on your Eschers, they look good in red. Are you equipping them with playing the game in mind or just looking cool for painting? Just got my set and reading people's weapon loadouts on the Internet is pretty confusing.
-
Nice paint job, but well, the sculpts!
They look like Catachan arms.
-
Great painting as always - love the understated black scheme of the Goliaths in particular.
But the sculpts of the Escher!!! :o
They were my gang of choice in the original rules - the Jes Goodwin sculpts were some of my favourite but these new ones... so disappointing...
-
Thanks folks!

I use the recommended starter gang from the introductionary scenario as a starting point, after that - we'll see.
-
Great!
As always, your stuff is really inspiring :)
-
Another girl gets finally painted!
Even taller … :(

Fantastic painting, Aegis. I almost get the urge to buy some, even though I really don't need them... lol
Do those bases come with the minis, or are they extras? I know GW sells now similar terrain bases.
-

Not sure since I bought some extra at the same time, maybe they were included….
-
Beautiful work!
-
Really beautiful painting work, and a great source of inspiration.
-
Lovely paint and the colours you have chosen work much better (in my opinion) than all those really bright colours that so many people choose.
I look forward to seeing more soon :) .
-
Do those bases come with the minis, or are they extras?
Each of the new Necromunda gangs come with 10 of the necromunda style bases in the box. 28mm for all but the Goliath’s which are 32mm. They are the same ones you can buy separately.

The Goliaths look very Mad max fury road on steroids. I love it!
-
I finally painted my 1st Van Saar mini!
House Van Saar ganger with Melta- Laspistol.
Really great sculpt, I a still unsure if I like van Saar better than Goliath.

Stunning work!
Gotta love that face.
:-* :-*
-
Amazing paintjob, love the battery(?) he's put his foot on. Great dynamic.
-
Very nice. I'll be getting me some van saar I think.
-
Thanks folks, to be honest I am also very happy with the rugged, beaten and radiation burned face.

Not sure by myself what it is… ;)

That's some really nice painting there.
-

Van Saar are always better :D. Nice paint job on the model. I like how the blue cabling looks.

Great paint job, the face is particularly good
-
Nice painting.
-
While I love my Van Saar this edition Goliath are my favourite (and I was always an Escher man)
-
I treated myself with another commission of painted minis by Ana Polanšćak.
:)
Deacon Malakev, Klovis the Redeemer and a nameless Follower - the follower is painted by me, all other minis are done by Ana! I just gave her an overall idea of the paint scheme and provided the sample mini (Black Crab Necropolis Scum) as a colour reference, the rest of the magic is all hers.
Rest of the gang on my site: https://adpublishing.de/html/necromunda.html

great painting by the pair of you.
been looking at this game recently - ulitmately just too nihilistic and grimdark for me I think, particularly these days, and my impression is that if you don't immerse yourself in the lore, there's no real point in pursuing the game.
I get the very crunchy movement and combat rules, and like those aspects, but the rpg-lite / narrative side is really supplied by immersion in the Lore / fluff itself (so it seems to me); the mechanics for that side of things are perfunctory?
figures-wise, maybe the Escher are meant to be freakishly amazonian as far as height goes?
what I don't really get is why the Van Saar (and to a degree, the Orlocks) seem to be dwarfs? Maybe that is discussed in the b/ground I suppose.
The Delaque are very tall too - and while that kind of goes with a Nosferatu vibe, and the different heights do sort of hang together (I have sample figures from most gangs), it still seems unnecessarily inconsistent.
