Title: BSC 2018 Elk101's Bochi - please could this be moved to the Far East board?
Post by: Elk101 on December 28, 2017, 11:21:44 AM: I have a plan. It's something to support my new range (and only new range) for 2018. It's not innovative or clever, just a piece of scenery with a little narrative for the theme. I'm definitely not looking to win anything or even improve on my previous best of fourth place (twice, I think).

Post by: Elk101 on January 04, 2018, 03:06:16 PM: My current thinking is to build a small rural Japanese graveyard suitable for use in games of Ronin. The 'ill advised' element will come in the form of a samurai at the entrance to the cemetery and the Supernatural presence that will be visible inside. He would be ill advised to enter.

Edit: I've called it a bochi but I'm not really sure that's the correct term. Please feel free to correct me!

A bit more tonight; front and rear shots. I'll probably sand the edge of the base to take the squareness off. I shouldn't have put the clay over the top yet as I've ordered some of those lovely Oshiro Model Terrain grave markers to cover some of the allowed purchases.

I'll definitely finish it as I think it'll be a useful piece of terrain. Undercoated model below. I wasn't going to make some of the memorials myself but as I'm likely to miss the deadline I'll probably use mostly bought ones.

I'm trying to attach a photo but I keep encountering an error.
