-
Wow. That's really excellent.

Yes scratch built by TM Terrain it is made to fit in with the other pieces I have.

Really great new terrain.
Love it.

Really fantastic! :-*
-
The first history book I have ever read was about the siege. :-*
-
That is spectacular, bravo!
I'm wanting to do a similar project and am curious to what figures you are using. I see some Eureka and TAG in there, but are unsure of the rest.
Thanks!
Curt

Eureka does that figure
-
Excellent. :)
-
Found him! for others reference he is under the Portuguese range and not the conquistador range.
-
That fort is stunning. Hoping to see some pictures with it being manned.

Lovely work, all of it!
-
Great stuff.
-
Simply superb! I’ve passed on the thread link to a friend of mine who is obsessed with Malta.
-
That looks amazing!!!
Have a few 1565 figures of my own kicking about. Yours look delightful and the scenery superb.
@Grant...obsessed? Bit harsh ;)
Have you seen the stuff by Stephen Spiterri on St Elmo?
3D computer graphics. It's on YouTube, well worth a look.
Any way...
Love this post. I think I need to add more flags now :D
-
Carvel,
I will try and find that 3 D graphic sounds interesting.
Can you post some pics of your collection always interested to see what others are up to.
Willie
-
@carvel - is there any other way to describe your passion for this battle? lol
-
@grant...moderately interested.
Would love to share pictures but don't have image hosting site since photo bucket blackmailed me out of the hobby :'(

Gorgeous painting, superb fort. I am so very jealous.
-
A pleasure.
Very very fond (grant...) of this story.
My favourite piece is a siege gun made of solid brass that unscrews!
Local engineering works made it for me....
May be a 'bit' obsessed? ;D
-
Those pics you sent deserve to be seen on here hopefully I can post them at some point this week thanks very much for sending I might pinch a couple of your ideas hope you don't mind.
Best
Willie

Pinch away! The more Malta the better 😊
What took your fancy that warranted imitation?

some of Cavels work below great eye candy.

The small ravalin base and the knight on the chair both on the to do list now.
-
The figures and the terrain are amazing, but the thing that really sets this project above and beyond for me is the way your vignettes manage to tell such vivid stories. The last stand in the chapel and that knight in the chair are emotionally stirring moments. Really well done.
As an aside, any of you that are having problems finding a way to post images to the forum should try pinterest. Free, easy and it's also a great way to find new ideas.
-
Thankyou for posting the pictures :D :-* very kind.
I love the chapel scene too... need to look again at flags too after seeing your pictures.
Amazing story 1565.
-
Amazing stuff!
Can produce an endless series of dioramatic pics narrating the whole story of the siege!
-
Wonderful, wonderful stuff.
-
Great work and great taste!

@corso- Cheers fella :D hope you and yours are well .
-
Just listened to the pod cast...interesting but painful. No real sense of the drama and intensity of the siege.
Academics not story tellers. No wonder Melvin sounded grumpy!
-
Anderson, as always superb stuff. Noticed a detail I was unfamiliar with - in the next to last photo (that of the defenders, right above the photo of the great Turkish bombard), what is that Maltese blue (green) banner with white shapes ?

The last set of pics are from member Carvel 2s collection hopefully he can pick this up and let you know what it represents he has some great stuff.
-
The banner is fictitious...I added it based on a local design of three fishes.
Sorry for any confusion. Just a bit of fun.
