Watched this other night an actually enjoyed it,it also got the old imagination going and as I despise the GW style oversized orks,
I wondered if anyone ever converted human style miniatures into human sized orks just a simple skin tone colour change or maybe a small orc/goblin head swap onto a human body.?
-
The Lord of the Rings orcs from GW would be good for head-swaps. They look more human than the usual GW orcs and would fit human bodies better.

Old Shadowrun minis? It’s basically that without the hackers :)

Posting to watch.

I used to have some hunter orcs but they were diddly in size ,even compared to the artizan sized miniatures I want to use.

Yes, I do this to extend the Orc variants for my 25mm Shadowrun/Rezolution games.
Bodies are easy to find, difficulty is getting decent sized orc heads without fantasy style armoured helmets.
There are some around but not many.

I just had a quick google as I had never heard of it before, and yes the similarities are easy to see,the orc miniatures from the google images do look nice you can see orcish features.

Yeah, I thought Bright was very Shadowrun inspired as well. Maybe like Shadowrun history with things not quite as advanced.

Hi robh I don't suppose you have used these?

I wondered if they scaled ok.
-
I did not use them but did pick up a set when I was checking options. I like the middle one but not the others, on a human body they just look like ugly humans, not distinct enough.
They will work with true 28mm figures but IMHO are too small for heroic scale or 32/34mm figures.
I opted for the bare head that comes on the Mantic plastic sprue.

Ok thanks :)

A lot of the half orc minis reaper makes might work.
You might be able to get a bunch of extra heads from the Oathmark Goblins and use those, they seem less like the GW cartoony look and more grounded.

How about the old Wargames Factory Orcs? I’m not sure on their availability but they’re much more human in proportion.

I can only see one non helmeted head on the spruce ,and as I'm using a iPhone I can't get the image clear enough to see it properly.i couldn't tell if it has a eye patch ?

I use the plastic GW Ungor heads, usually with the horns trimmed off, but they're quite hard to come by these days.
