Title: Hi from a self confessed OCD painter/gamer
Post by: elysium64 on April 22, 2009, 09:39:39 PM
Hi
This is my first post, and I thought a quich introduction was in order.
I have been painting and gaming with little lead men for as long as I can remember (about 35 years), my first figure being a blocky minifigs ECW musketeer bought for me by my Nan from Rye Stamp and Hobby Shop, run by the wonderful Bill Brewer, this I proceeded to paint in gloss Airfix paints.
I have painted many different figure subjects since then, most of which I have regretfully sold, My interest in the Hobby was re-ignited by a great little shop in Woking ~ Fun & Games run by Matakishi who I am pleased to say has become a good friend of mine.
I have recently come to the conclusion that I am an OCD painter, I become inspired by a period/range, spend lots of money, promise myself that this is the period/range for me, undercoat and maybe paint a few figures, and then find something new to froth over.
My Current interests (which are lasting longer than normal) are SOTR/Incursion, Atomic Cafe 57, and Victorian Sci-fi/Steam Punk I thought joining these forums may help me to paint more and complete some projects, that and the prospect of opening a new Wargames/Miniatures shop in September/October with some friends.

A common problem....particularly amongst people that have bumped into Matakishi....annoying thing is, he tends to actually COMPLETE his projects.

Welcome to LAF!

I used to but Minifigs ECW figures from Bill Brewer at the Rye Stamp & Hobby Shop.

Happy days...  :)

The irony is that, now, 30 years on, I'm still painting a bloody ECW army!

Welcome!

You need to host the photos online at photobucket or similar and then link to them.

Here's one of yours to get you started...
