Only my second ever game of Battlegroup - with Lewis King - and I think we're getting used to the rules a bit now. This time we added in off-board artillery (with the bad result of killing my own OP via friendly fire!) and aircraft (as I has recently purchased some!).
A Normandy scenario, with British paratroopers holding out in farm, whilst phased reinforcements arrive - with phased attacking forces of Fallschirmjagers and Panzergrenadiers.
Victory for the Allies, after the Germans lost out in two tank engagements on each flank.

Lovely looking game. Those little vignette details really bring it to life.

Looks great Simon.
How do you like the rules? One of my friends plays 15mm Rapid Fire. Was thinking of trying to get him to try Battlegroup instead. People seem to like them.

Great looking game, figures and table.
I like esp your bigger 3 figure bases; this seems not to be a problem for Battlegroup rules?
-
Many thanks for the kind words - assembled this collection several years ago and great to play with it.
Captain Blood - I'm not a rules expert due to the handful of games I manage to play each year, so hard to comment. My opponent Lewis is a regular wargamer and although it was only our second game with the rules, we seemed to get to grips and he liked them enough to start planning a force.
With the 3 man bases, this is a legacy of making my army years ago (with other rules in mind). You just need to recall how many figures in a squad. We use casualty markers to denote losses. That said, I will rebase some as single figures which will help next time.
Cheers
Simon.
