I've finished painting my Great War Miniatures MK4 Tank as a captured German Beutepanzer (With only one Stupid mistake, I wonder who will be the 1st to notice it :D )

The Hotchkis MG's have been swapped for Lewis Guns (from Company B)

The sponson is upside down! Do I win some cake?
Seriously, I would not have noticed if you had not set me looking for faults. Absolutely bang-up job there. Pure class.

Great tank :-* :-*
Never noticed the mistake until better people (or is that picky people lol) pointed it out but you did say it was a captured one so maybe the original one had damaged sponson?s.
The German mechanics fixed it up the best they could but as they didn?t have any plans they didn?t know which way up the sponson went. ;)
That would be my story and I would stick to that! :D

I like that Gamer Mac lol. I will use that excuse if some one points it out. :D

I refuse to look
I can't look at Great War (and Great War miniatures) stuff right now... I can't afford it... but I waaaaantttttt and that beutepanzer is simply wonderful! ;D

Just to add to Arrigo's pain (because I'm evil) GWM miniatures are very nice indeed. I've got my first three packs of them beside my keyboard as I write this, and they're going to be a worthy addition to my pulpy forces. Pity they're a couple of weeks late to the first round of LPL3...
Sweet tank, great painting scheme, and not being a historical gamer in any meaningful sense, who cares if some bit is upside down? :D

Brilliant! It looks so real!
I have no idea which part is wrong but it still looks amazing!

Very dramatic and realistic presentation. One of the best I have seen!!!

Keith,
What was the process and colours used to paint and detail the tracks?

Keith,
What was the process and colours used to paint and detail the tracks?
Hi Nick
I started with dark brown black mix followed by dark brown then added boltgun metal, then washes of black & brown. fine sand added for the mud painted & washed with various shades of graveyard earth
Hope this helps

Many thanks Keith,
I might have a crack at a AV7 in the same scheme.

really beautiful paintjob!
I wouldn't have noticed the sponson either, it looks OK
I'd rather have gone for the 1/35 fuel canisters, but I use them too, so who cares :)
