David Marshall of TMTerrain has been building me a new board to run participation games of 7TV: Apocalypse due out later this year. It's 6x4 with a camp along a cliff edge made from the classic Pardulon shanty and scrap walls that Crooked are now the proud owners of.
http://www.crooked-dice.co.uk/wp/product-category/post-apocalyptic/
Here's David's report as he started the main build:
PART ONE
I have started laying out the 28mm post apocalyptic settlement for the Crooked Dice demo game for their new game. The final board will be 6ft x4ft but this board is 4x2. It is full of the resin sets that Crooked Dice sell. They are very flexible so I have been able to design all sorts of different shaped dwellings.
The big tipper truck is from Figurebitz. That has been fun to paint and pimp.
I am pleased how the resin looks old and rusty. I just airbrushed loads of different colours onto it with the odd dry brush in between. I will do a final dry brush near the end to blend it into the landscape.
I have more resin to add and the settlement extends onto the next board but there will still be lots of open space to run around in buggies shooting things!

PART TWO
Today I have been working on the Crooked Dice Post apocalyptic board. I have been able to paint the base coat on the Crooked Dice board. It will be a desert look in the end so I need a couple more highlights on it to make it look right.

PART THREE
I have been playing around with the camera today getting a few shots of Crooked Dice’s post apocalyptic settlement.

To make something that looks so random and chaotic actually requires careful planning as well as great skill. This is looking most impressive.

This is a superb piece of work. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh.

A great board, Sir! The barracks look very authentic, not so full of colours. More rust and old. I love your boards.

Glad it arrived safely - sorry I won't get to Hamburg this year :(

PART FOUR
David from Tmterrain has started on the other sections of the table today - adding the roads to this white line nightmare and extending the camp with more of our Shanty terrain. The windmill is an MDF kit from Figurebitz and will be available in the Crooked Dice webstore in the coming months. The final table will be 6x4, so a further plain sandy board to go on the end.

PART FIVE
David almost finished now. Just a few bits to paint.

PART SIX
And done! 6x4 of gorgeous PA ruin. I'll collect it next week and then start to dress it with the modular canyons and some other gubbins. Delighted with it - and all plaudits go to David for his usual tip-top work.

Nice! And it looks realistic in context :)

That's bloody gorgeous, boys. Well done!

Excellent.

Not the greatest photos, but trying some different set ups for the Salute 7TV: Apocalypse participation games. David from TMTerrain has done a fantastic job on the base boards. There will be another 2x4' on the end to allow some extra space for vehicle combat, but getting there.

Good to hear! I'm waiting for a few more options and then I'll order.
On a side note - which models did you use for the TMNT game you ran?

Please sir, how much for the buggies?
Three variants as shown at £20 each and are a mix of resin and pewter parts (driver and roll cage). They’ll also be available at Salute on a first come first served basis, and then depending on stock remaining, officially released in May in the web store.

Thanks.
