We've been having a lot of fun playing ToH recently - it isn't perfect but it is a great fun.
Anyways, a thread to cover the bits I'm painting up (I've been very lucky to be using an Andy Taylor painted force so far :-*) and the alternative scenarios we come up with.
First up a couple of fluff bits from AW Miniatures...

Lovely stuff. Those Ninjas are great, but they don't look very stealthy, mind. They are making way too much fuss, prancing around. They remind me of the Pirates and their "cat-like tread" from Gilbert and Sullivan. lol Tiger is lovely, too.
What's ToH, by the way?

Test of Honour - not everyone's cup of tea but we've been having a lot of fun with it 8)

As always your painting is exquisite but I must take issue on the black and white photo of the temple lion dogs.
Rather than ruin your thread I have posted my complaint here.

Cheers :D :D

Lovely work in those :-*

Really nice painting. I really like the character on the Dixons. Normally I dislike "cartoony" minis but there is just something about these little guys. Perhaps a comic opera aspect as Plynkes points out.

Yes, instead of The Pirates of Penzance, let's put on The Ninjas of Nagasaki!
Tarantara, Tarantara.

Completely get that they're an acquired taste.... for me there's a huge amount of nostalgia attached to them as they were some of the first minis I ever bought; saving up pocket money, scouring the advert in the back of MilMod or the printed flyer, then sending a postal order off and getting your toys a month later.
A pdf of the flyer is still on the website and Trev still uses exactly the same packaging as he his nearly 40 years ago :-*

And it's taken you till now to get round to painting them? ;D

lol No, those are long gone in the mists of time covered in badly slapped on enamel paint :'(
It's a testament to Trev that these are lovely castings, fresh out of the mould... just wish the prices were the same as then too ;)
