Title: Rebel minis are going pulp.
Post by: nic-e on February 17, 2018, 02:57:38 PM
Not my genre and not a company I've ever dealt with, but i know rebel are well loved by some. #

Seems they're making some pulp rulesets, from the description it seems like they may have read a description of 7tv or pulp alley and said "hey, let's do that!" but I can only judge on what's been written.

Rebel seems to have assumed sales/ownership of the Two Hour Wargames pulp rulesets. These rules have been out for sometime and they are quite enjoyable IMO. The rules are well suited for solo and cooperative games as well as traditional play versus an opponent. Each ruleset has it's own campaign rules (called the story in Larger than Life). They do use the reaction system and rely on quite a few charts for progressing the campaign/story, although action sequences are quickly learned and not needed during gameplay.

As stated I'm a fan of the two hour wargames rulesets and Rebel is offering the pdfs at a discount price.
